Andy Cohen Says He Was “Called Into Action” To Stop Cast “Brawl” During Vanderpump Rules Reunion

Andy Cohen’s not just a talk show host. Apparently now he’s also a referee! Somebody give him a whistle to hang around his neck.

When a near-brawl broke out on the set of the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion, Andy jumped in to break it up. Fans of the show are looking forward to seeing the cast reactions to the controversy.

“I didn’t leave with any bruises, Andy told Page Six exclusively, “but I was called into action.” When asked whether fans will find the fight “shocking,” the Bravolebrity answered, “Listen, you [already] know who the group of people on the stage are: they’re all hotheads! So I mean, shocked? It doesn’t seem that shocking to me.” Feelings among the cast have been running hot since the Scandoval news broke, so it’s not surprising things got physical at the reunion.

The reported “near-brawl” erupted even after Andy attempted to establish some ground rules prior to the cameras rolling. Surprisingly, sources have said that the instigators of the scuffle didn’t include Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, or Raquel Leviss. I’m picturing James Kennedy, Lala Kent and possibly Katie Maloney in the role of “hotheads.” In the case of James and Katie, that probability would quickly increase if alcohol was served on set.

Andy recalled coaching the VPR cast prior to taping. “‘Guys, there’s so much interest in this. Let’s try to be OK here so that the viewers can be excited,'” Andy stated. “There’s so much interest in what’s going on in the Bravo universe that I always think that it’s fun when things play out on the shows.”

The dad of two admitted he was surprised when Scandoval broke, but stopped short of condemning his buddy Sandoval. Asked if he thought the Schwartz and Sandy’s co-owner was a “piece of s–t,” Andy simply said, “That’s a loaded question.”

“I would say that as someone who has been friendly with both of them,” the Watch What Happens Live host began, “Yes, I was disappointed.”

“I have an over-10-year relationship with Tom that’s a professional relationship. He’s from my hometown, and we’re pals that way,” the Missouri native continued. “You want everybody that you’re in relationships with to be happy and successful and thriving.”

However, Andy believes Sandoval “would certainly agree that this was not his finest moment.” To date, the Tom Tom part owner has twice apologized publicly for the affair. He had to do it twice because he forgot to apologize to his former girlfriend of nearly a decade the first time.

Sandoval and Miss Sonoma County seem to still be a thing. Even though Raquel said she needed time “to heal,” the pair have gone public together on multiple occasions. Now that they no longer need to hide, they even went to dinner following the angry confrontations at the reunion.

Andy teased that he interviewed Tom, Ariana and Rachel Raquel individually before assembling the entire cast. He also made sure to “re-ask” a lot of the questions in front of the whole group to cover all POVs.

He also hinted that streaming service Peacock would probably “release extended versions” of the Bravo reunion. Oh, boy! Outtakes!!! “I think you’re going to get extras on Peacock,” the WWHL host told his Radio Andy listeners, promising that “there is a lot of reckoning to get.”
