Erika Jayne is an enigma, wrapped in despair and memories of having a bank account. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been suffering for the past few years over her estranged husband’s epic fall from grace.
Erika went from a relatively well-liked cast member to become the portrait of your typical scorned villain. Wrapping herself in designer clothing and challenging peers to request she emotes on behalf of the people betrayed by Tom Girardi.
She definitely emoted but it didn’t win Erika any friends. Even her co-stars were vaguely disturbed when Erika’s only display of remorse was for… herself. Season 13 is filming and Erika will be back but a couple of people are missing. One is Lisa Rinna who was thankfully put on pause after exhausting the entire United States and portions of Europe with her constant instigating and lack of personal content.
But Kathy Hilton is currently on a milk carton because she hasn’t magically appeared to film yet. Kathy issued an ultimatum at the end of last season stating she won’t return if Rinna and Erika are still on the payroll. Now EJ is having a laugh because she still has a job and Kathy is just sitting in her gazillion-dollar mansion with 50 servants all named “the Lady” and using stacks of bills as fetch toys for her dogs.
According to Page Six, Erika is not suffering over Kathy’s absence. “Well, I’m here and she’s not,” she said. EJ added the door is open for Kathy’s triumphant return. “She can come on in any time she wants!”
Erika doubts Kathy’s disappearing act has anything to do with the fact that she kept her diamond. She said as much when asked if Kathy’s absence is due to not losing her job. “Me? What the f–k did I do? I didn’t do anything,” EJ commented. This is basically true. Erika’s main crime against Kathy was being a witness to Kathy’s alleged crazy meltdown on the now infamous Aspen cast trip.

Erika’s other slight against Kathy was being BFFs with “Hollywood’s Biggest Bully“, which automatically makes you Kathy’s enemy. See: Kyle Richards. Erika wasn’t shy about sharing Kathy’s supposed not-hunky-dory personality and accused Kathy of using a homophobic slur during the meltdown.
In October 2022, Kathy issued a statement saying she won’t return to RHOBH unless both Rinna and Erika were pink-slipped. Bravo wiped the lesser of two evils, which must have been an intense conversation in the Bravo board room, and dismissed Rinna but kept Erika.
Kathy hasn’t commented on whether she’ll show up, so sister Kim Richards was called back for duty. Kim is now serving along with Kyle so Kyle has something to do other than shop for clothing only appropriate to wear for dinner with Captain Stubing on The Love Boat.
It remains to be seen if Kathy will materialize at some point. Perhaps she will get lost driving, despite a multi-million dollar navigation system in her car, and blow by a filming location. She’ll probably pass Rinna who will “coincidentally” be loitering in the background of every shot.
