Real Housewives of Miami was on fire this season. Alexia Nepola (formerly known as Alexia Echevarria) and her best buddy, Marysol Patton, battled it out with longtime friend Adriana De Moura. During the first cast trip to the Florida Keys, Alexia alleged that Adriana’s boyfriend was married. He was actually divorced. Alexia read the online documents incorrectly but still refused to apologize. The Cuban Barbie didn’t give an inch.
Later, in the Bahamas, Adriana told Marysol that her ex-boyfriend told her that he “never loved” Marysol. Adriana received zero loyalty points. Maybe next season the ladies should visit a cold climate to chill out.
When Adriana’s foot was grazed by Guerdy Abraira and Kiki Barth’s horseplay, she milked it. And hobbled into the housewives’ hall of bad analogies. Adriana compared her “broken” foot incident to Alexia’s son Frankie Rosello’s near-fatal car accident. Frankie suffered a traumatic brain injury.
Alexia was infuriated, as was Marysol. Alexia explained how her son’s accident affected her family. “For anyone to use Frankie’s accident to compare or ‘connect’ their level of pain or suffering to what Frankie has endured is wrong ESPECIALLY when referring to a FAKE INJURY. I draw the line at Frankie when you intentionally want to hurt me,” she wrote on Instagram.
After that, Adriana repeatedly said she was sorry, but Marysol and Alexia refused to entertain her apology. Well, I am shocked. Said nobody…ever.
According to Page Six, Alexia and Marysol claimed that the green-eyed monster was responsible for Adriana’s actions. During an appearance on Page Six’s podcast, Virtual Reali-Tea, they said that Adriana was jealous because she wasn’t asked to join the cast of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
“We know why she doesn’t like us — because we got to go on ‘Ultimate Girls Trip.’ I told Alexia, ‘Don’t tell the girls because somehow Adriana will find out.’ We knew all the girls would be happy for us, but we knew Adriana would be pissed,” Marysol stated.
The besties learned that they were going to Thailand for Season 3 of RHUGT during the RHOM cast trip to the Keys. “I was so excited because we had just found out that we’re going on the ‘Ultimate Girls Trip.’ I was happy that ‘Miami’ was going,” Alexia explained. “‘Miami,’ we just had one season and we come back, everyone’s loving us, we’re going with ‘Potomac,’ ‘Salt Lake City.’ When I’m happy and I think you’re my [friend], I’m going to share my happy news,” she added.
For Marysol, she noticed a shift in Adriana’s behavior once she learned that her co-stars had been cast. Marysol said, “The minute she found out, we get to the Keys, [Alexia gets] attacked on the bus and it never stops.”
She continued, “I said, ‘She is going to find out, she is going to make us pay for it and we’re going to have a hellish season.’ And that’s exactly what happened.”
An insider close to Adriana refuted the claims to Page Six, saying that Adriana was “happy” for her friends and congratulated them. Someone must be bending the truth a bit.
The duo admitted that they didn’t resolve their issues with Adriana during the three-part RHOM reunion. “Not even a 10-part reunion would fix my friendship with her,” Alexia said.
So, who did Marysol and Alexia get along with the best on RHUGT? The Miami ladies forged a close bond with Real Housewives of Salt Lake City stars Whitney Rose and Heather Gay. No word if Heather’s black eye made the trek.
The RHUGT trailer also teased Alexia and Marysol arguing during the Thailand escape. Marysol previously shared that the trip put “pressure” on their friendship. “We were the only girls that shared a room. It’s not [easy] It’s a lot of luggage, it’s a lot of cameras, it’s a lot of people, a lot of stimuli, getting ready, s—t everywhere,” she noted.
