Thinking about Real Housewives of New York in the year 2022 has just been depressing. RHONY has always been one of the strongest shows in the franchise, and one bad season unraveled it all. We didn’t even get a reunion to say a proper goodbye to our girls before the show was put on indefinite hiatus. Since then, the rumor mill has been churning.
Seriously, I can’t keep the RHONY gossip straight. Is there going to be a show of newbies? What about the legacy cast? Is Ramona Singer really done with reality TV for good? Is Julia Fox going to be holding the center apple or not? Andy Cohen, make it make sense.
Ahead of what’s sure to be another tumultuous season of Winter House, Amanda Batula has commented on the RHONY of it all like a true Bravoholic. In an interview with Page Six, Amanda was even all-in on the idea of leaving Summer House in order to join the new RHONY. “I’m down to throw some nice events and stay in my apartment in the city and do a really nice trip somewhere for a few days,” she explained. I mean, she already lives in Manhattan. That’s half the battle.
Also, if Amanda was on Real Housewives, she wouldn’t have to worry about spending every summer fighting with Kyle Cooke and their roomies. Much like Carole Radziwill proclaimed to have only a few good summers left, Amanda only has a few Hamptons summers left in her. It’s just obvious it’s getting old to her. “I love living in the house with everyone,” Amanda said. “But I can’t do the partying for the rest of my life, so I am down.”
Amanda does seem to be maturing out of Summer House. It’d be fun to see her in a totally different atmosphere. Honestly, get the honeymooners Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke on and I’m all in. Can you imagine the Summer House stars partying in Sonja Morgan’s townhouse? Or hitting Midtown for Luann de Lesseps cabaret show? This might be the future of RHONY we need. And after so much time away from our girls, it’s the one loyal fans deserve.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK AMANDA SHOULD JOIN RHONY? DO YOU THINK SHE COULD HANDLE BEING A REAL HOUSEWIFE?
