The rumors are true. Less than a week ago, news broke that Lisa Hochstein was throwing drinks in Miami. She was out partying with Real Housewives of Miami castmate Larsa Pippen. Apparently, they found her husband, Lenny Hochstein, out with his alleged new girlfriend. A source who saw the scene dished, “Lisa got in her face and yelled at her.” Lenny responded via email to the story posted by Page Six and denied it. He claimed, “Not true. Nice try though.” But Lenny is singing a different tune now.
Lenny decided to come clean and went back to to Page Six with an admission. He said matter of factly, “Lisa and I are getting divorced. A few weeks ago, I denied this because because I am trying my best to protect my family during this process. This is a very difficult time, and I would ask for some privacy so that we can best take care of our children who mean the world to us.” A few weeks ago? More like a few days. I guess it’s hard to keep track of things when you’re not honest.
It’s unclear why Lenny had the sudden change of heart. But it may have something to do with being busted this past weekend. He was spotted on the town with the now confirmed girlfriend, Austrian model Katharina Mazepa. In a video shared by All About The Real Housewives of Instagram, Lenny was all smiles with Katharina. They were in front of a Miami restaurant while cameras flashed. It didn’t look like he was having a “difficult time” at all. Lenny claimed that “none of this happened until after the decision was made to get divorced.”
Lisa and Lenny have been married for 12 years and share two young kids together. On the latest season of RHOM, she shared that they separated for about a month. She also admitted that he had an “emotional affair.” They reconciled and Lisa said, “I would like to say that we are in a very good place right now.”
Lenny clarified that he has yet to officially file for divorce but they’ve “contemplated divorce for the last several years.” He added, “I tried my best to avoid it for the sake of our children, who we love deeply. We have been living separate lives for months and made the decision to divorce last month. It was after the decision was made that I started seeing Katharina. This is something that Lisa was well aware of before it happened. Our issues have nothing to do with the filming of the show.”
Not so says a friend close to Lisa. Her friend stated, “She isn’t directly aware of any divorce talk but can assume the direction it’s going since he hasn’t been hiding anything. She hasn’t been served any papers and hasn’t been aware that that’s the case and is just focusing on her children.” The friend noted that Lisa was “completely blindsided” by his sudden change in behavior. Lisa’s friend also revealed, “She’s devastated and disgusted that he would do this to his children. The way he’s out flaunting it is gross. She’s just shocked that in a heartbeat he would just abandon his family.”
