Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is prepping for her wedding to her fiancé, Luis “Louie” Ruelas. During the Season 12 finale, RHONJ viewers saw Louie ask Teresa’s brother, Joe Gorga, for her hand in marriage.
In October of 2021, Louie popped the question with an elaborate proposal during a trip to Greece. Teresa’s bestie, and RHONJ alum, Dina Manzo was there for the festivities with her husband, David Cantin.
But when stories about Louie’s controversial past came to light, Teresa lost her cool. Margaret Josephs insisted on asking questions, and Teresa exploded during the cast trip to Nashville. Teresa accused Margaret of giving information about Louie to the blogs. Margaret called Teresa a liar, and Teresa swept plates and glasses across the table onto Margaret.
Teresa ordered Joe’s wife, Melissa Gorga, to get Margaret in check. Melissa was once again caught in the middle between her family and her friends. Dolores Catania ticked off Teresa by not leaving with her after the Margaret fiasco. Poor Dolores didn’t even get an invite to Teresa and Louie’s engagement party.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Teresa revealed that she will have eight bridesmaids in her summer wedding. But no one from the RHONJ cast will be standing by her side, and that included Melissa.
Melissa found out that she wouldn’t be in the bridal party from watching TV. Ouch! At this point, I’m wondering if Melissa and Dolores will even be invited. Margaret and Jackie Goldschneider shouldn’t wait by their mailboxes. According to Kim DePaola, Dina will be in Teresa’s wedding party.
“Melissa got a little upset,” Joe stated. “It’s more like there isn’t any respect.” Teresa and Joe battled it out in the Season 12 reunion trailer. When host Andy Cohen asked Teresa about Melissa not being a bridesmaid, Melissa came for Teresa. “You remember who’s been here through all your sh*t. Family, family, I love family,” Melissa remarked. “Bullsh*t.”
During an appearance on E! News Daily Pop, Teresa updated fans about her wedding. She addressed whether she will be getting her own wedding spin-off. “I don’t know. We’ll see,” Teresa said. The RHONJ fans deserve to watch that chaos.
Host Justin Sylvester asked Teresa, “Did you change your mind about maybe Melissa being part of the wedding, or are you staying firm?” Teresa responded, “Yeah. I’m staying firm. You know what, at this point in my life, you know, you know what you want.”
She continued, “It is what it is. I’m not her best friend, she’s not my best friend. We’re family,” Teresa remarked. “I love her. She’s my sister-in-law, and vice versa. And I’m sure she loves me because I’m her sister-in-law.” Teresa added, “But do we hang out like best friends? No, we don’t, and I’m okay with that.” Well, damn!
Teresa also addressed the drama with Joe at the upcoming reunion. The mother of four stated that she will “always be there for him, no matter what.” Teresa explained, “I look at the show, and if I don’t like something, I call [Joe] and I tell him. And I always tell him to do the same thing for me.”

As for Louie, Teresa would like her RHONJ co-stars to be respectful of him. “This is not something [Louie] signed up for. He met Teresa Giudice and, of course, this comes along. Does he want to be on TV? No,” Teresa commented. “But if he dates me, does he have to be on TV? I mean, of course, otherwise everyone’s gonna be upset with me, like, ‘Why am I not bringing my boyfriend around?'”
Teresa has completed all her wedding planning and is going with Louie’s mother soon to look for bridesmaid dresses. Take a deep breath, Melissa.
So, when does Teresa think she will exit the franchise? She remarked, “I think I’m gonna ride it out. I started it and I think I’m going to ride it out to the end, until Andy [Cohen] doesn’t want me anymore.”
