Tom Schwartz is making strides towards living independently for the first time in his life (I assume). He has finally stopped wearing his wedding ring! The decision has come over a month after Katie Maloney filed for divorce. In an interview with Page Six he admitted, “I’ve been wearing it for the past few months, but I just woke up one day and I was like, ‘Maybe it’s time to stop wearing it out of respect for Katie.’”
Tom revealed that there was no “specific catalyst” that helped him make the decision to appear single. He revealed his bare hand at Lisa Vanderpump’s Las Vegas celebration for her latest restaurant.
“I don’t want to seem like I’m clinging onto something, but the reason I kept wearing it is because A) it’s a beautiful ring and B) I still have a great love and admiration for Katie. I love her with all my heart,” Tom shared. He admitted to still being “madly in love” with Katie, who he referred to as his “wife.”
Tom added, “I’ll always love her. I wore the ring for a long time because I feel naked without it and I feel so vulnerable without the ring.” He could just put it on a string!

Katie shared her side of things too. She told Page Six she and Tom would “always have each other’s backs.” Tom replied that Katie has been “so accommodating.”
“Katie’s been so f—king great. I hate the word accommodating. It sounds so sterile, but she’s been amazing. We’ve been respectful of each other’s boundaries. But she’s my girl. Even though we’re separated, I would do anything for her.” Except probably stay loyal, stand up for her on camera, finish one shift at Sur, blah blah blah.
Vanderpump Rules season 9 showed no indication that Tom and Katie would be ending their three year marriage, though things for these two didn’t look great. After 12 years together, maybe they can finally find some happiness with one another in divorce.
