What’s in the water on Real Housewives of New Jersey this season? Probably hypocrisy. After we all watched Teresa Giudice enact Table Flip 2.0, fans were appalled. In case you missed it, things between Tre and Margaret Josephs got so heated, Teresa threw table settings and a drink on Marge. She accused her of leaking negative stories to the press about her man, Luis “Louie” Ruelas. True Tre-huggers think Teresa was justified after Marge pushed her too far. The vast majority of fans recognized that this type of behavior is one step too far. But we have to face facts – this isn’t the first time we’ve seen things get physical on the show. From Teresa or Marge, for that matter.
One person who is still Team Tre is costar Jennifer Aydin. Jennifer has been a soldier for Teresa this entire season. For that, she’s been rewarded with Teresa’s friendship. And Jennifer doesn’t exactly have much reason to ride for Marge after she outed Bill Aydin for cheating on Jennifer. Presumably to shed light on the actual reality of what Jennifer wants people to think is her perfect life. So Jennifer isn’t going to sit back and let Marge play the victim. Because the way Jen sees it, Marge is guilty of her own overreactions.
As reported by Reality Blurb, Jennifer talked about Marge’s bad behavior at an appearance on the Watch What Happens Live After Show. When questioned about Teresa possibly using Margaret as a scapegoat for her own doubts about Louie, Jennifer disagreed. She replied, “No absolutely not. It was a buildup of a lot of questions that Teresa just wanted people to let go of. And I think we’re all guilty of doing things in the heat of the moment that have been hostile.”
Jennifer then explained how Marge has exhibited behavior similar to Teresa’s in the past. Said Jennifer, “I remember Margaret pouring wine over Danielle [Staub] and pouring water over her and throwing Marty [Caffrey] in the pool. So I think we’ve all been guilty of it.” She added, “I mean, the whole season, Teresa just kept trying to say, ‘I don’t want you to talk about these things.’ And nobody wanted to respect that.”
Jennifer further defended Teresa for her use of the term “white trash” when screaming at Marge. According to Jen, Tre just didn’t understand it was “not a nice thing to say.” Jen maintained, “From our generation, people used to say that and we’ve learned that it’s actually wrong so that’s something that comes with time. So she shouldn’t have said that and I think she knows that. We’ve told her that.”
As for what started this whole mess, surprisingly, Jennifer doesn’t think Marge is guilty what Tre is accusing her of. She said of Margaret, “I don’t think she’s leaking the stories but I think she is in communications with people to try and find things out and that’s just from proof Teresa has that she’s told me about and this type of proof it’s like, Margaret was named in something so if the proof is in the pudding, so be it. So I don’t think it’s to [that] extent.”
