Real Housewives of New York will forever be remembered for its wacky characters. Like, it’s hard to imagine a creature like Ramona Singer, yelling at her staff and pooping her pants, as a real human being in the wild. Someone like Aviva Drescher showed fans how dark a real-life villain could be. And we can’t forget about the Scary Island queen herself, Kelly Bensimon, who is just a gift to reality TV.
Kelly is the RHONY star who loves gummy bears and casually runs in the middle of Manhatten traffic. She joined the show in Season 2 and will forever be remembered for her epic meltdown on Scary Island. She roasted Bethenny Frankel by calling her a “cook,” not a “chef.” She name-dropped her “good friend” Gwyneth Paltrow, who later claimed to have no knowledge of Kooky Kelly. Now that RHONY is splitting into two shows, Kelly has some ideas for her own about casting.
Who knows if Kelly (or the Ramonacoaster, for that matter) will be featured on the RHONY legacy series. Jill Zarin will probably elbow her way in there. Dorinda Medley BETTER be there, or we’re going to have a problem. The real mystery is who will be cast for Season 14 of the flagship series. It could bring on a new era of Real Housewives. According to Page Six, Kelly thinks that the next season of RHONY should center around notorious scammer Anna Delvey. Only Kelly.

While appearing on the Andy’s Girls with Sarah Galli podcast, Kelly explained why she thinks that Anna “would be amazing” on the show. In case you’re unaware, Anna, whose real last name is Sorokin, is a wannabe NYC socialite. She was convicted in 2019 on grand larceny and theft of services charges after stealing from businesses, friends, and more.
Her insane story, which involves her posing as a rich German heiress, was central to Netflix’s “Inventing Anna” series that’s been popular recently. It sounds like Kelly was one of us who binge-watched the entire thing, and thought that Anna’s appalling attitude is exactly what RHONY needs.

Kelly claims that her friends tell her that she actually met Anna while galavanting around NYC one night. However, Kelly says she doesn’t remember it, because of course she wouldn’t. “If I had met her, she would have been really nasty to rich people,” Kelly said. “I would’ve remembered.”
Kelly elaborated that Anna’s strategy is to get power over rich people by making them feel “that they don’t know what they’re talking about.” This is the meeting of the minds my messy self really needs. Forget the Summer House and Southern Charm mashups. This is TV gold.
So whether or not Kelly and Anna were tearing up the streets of Manhattan one lost night is a mystery. As is whether or not Anna will appear on RHONY. It seems unlikely considering Anna seems like someone who is incapable of being honest, which would be a major roadblock. Honestly though, can you just imagine the chaos if she somehow swindled her way on? For now, the thought will remain in mine and Kelly’s dreams.
