Talk about shooting your shot. Love is Blind’s Abhishek Shake Chatterjee made his move at the season 2 reunion, flirting with Vanessa Lachey right in front of her husband and co-host Nick Lachey, to the discomfort of everyone watching. Page Six now reports that according to Deepti Vempati, that wasn’t the first time he made romantic advances on the Love is Blind host. If true, hosting duties should come with hazard pay because, poor Vanessa!
On a recent episode of the “We Have the Receipts” podcast with season 1 star Lauren Speed, Deepti revealed, “Can I tell you, he was hitting on her at the couples reveal. It’s so disrespectful.” She also claimed that Shake “made a lot of the other girls cry” during filming. What Shake allegedly did to make the girls cry is not clear, but she divulged, “They don’t show that, but I actually had to talk to him about that, and it was, like, a rocky step in our progression in the pods.”

On the recent reunion, viewers saw Shake tell Vanessa that she was the only person in the room he was attracted to, all while she sat beside her husband who is obviously Nick Lachey [lol]. One can’t help but be impressed with the confidence this man has. At one point in justifying his actions on the show, he explained “We’re animals” to which Nick retorted to the vet, “No, you treat animals. We’re human beings.”
Following the awkward reunion, Shake criticized Nick posting on his Instagram Monday, “@nicklachey you’re a massive t–t for your comment dragging vets.” He added, “You do realize that becoming a veterinarian is considerably more difficult than becoming a human Doc right?”

Shake became the undeniable villain of season 2 after the world watched his relationship unfold with ex fiancé Deepti. After getting engaged in the pods, he voiced to other cast members about his doubts over his physical attraction to her. In the end Deepti realized she couldn’t go through with the marriage and said no at the altar.
Since the show, he has posted on his social media, apologizing to Deepti and expressing regret over his actions. In in a video on Tuesday he stated, “I wanted to take this opportunity to really just say sorry to a woman that I know I hurt.” He continued, “Deepti, I am truly sorry for some of the things I said. Things that, honestly, just could’ve been left unsaid, or could have been said differently. Things that never should have been said on national television.”
He added, “And during the time that we were filming you were my best friend and even though I knew our relationship wasn’t going to end in marriage, I didn’t want what we had to end either. I loved every second of it. and I am so, so sorry, that I hurt you with my words. I’m sorry Deepti.”

Deepti has since said that she has no regret over saying no to Shake. She can rest assured with that decision, as these two were clearly not meant to be. “We talked about how we struggled with the intimacy part of our relationship but watching it back was hard. It was tough [to see] the way he was talking about me.”
The reality star is trying to put the negativity behind her, explaining, “Some of the things he said were just completely disrespectful, even to a friend. So, yeah, it’s been tough watching it back but I’m trying to put it in the past and just move forward.” As one of the clear knockout catches of the season, I think the national consensus is it’s his loss Deeps!
