Larsa Pippen got candid about her marriage to NBA legend Scottie Pippen on the most recent episode of Real Housewives of Miami. After 20+ years of marriage, Larsa and Scottie separated in 2016. While they briefly tried to reconcile, it didn’t work and their marriage was finalized in December of 2021. A full 3 years after they filed.
But during filming, Larsa was still in the process of divorcing and it started to get ugly. As reported by Page Six, Larsa confided in fellow castmate, Alexia Echevarria. She admitted of the state of their divorce at the time, “I don’t even know what’s happening.” Larsa also added that she was “kind of truing to force him to sell” their Miami house. Unfortunately, this resulted in Scottie demanding that they send their daughter Sophia “back to L.A.” Sophia, 14, is the youngest of their four children and was still living with Larsa in Miami.
Larsa continued, “I was traumatized. If he doesn’t get his way, he punishes me. He’s like The Punisher.” She also added in one of her confessionals, that Scottie “is used to controlling the narrative.” She explained, “This is like his last piece of control that he’s got over me and the kids. He’s only punishing me because I’m making him sell the house.”
When the show used headlines of Larsa dating another NBA player, she maintained that Scottie was knowingly “pushing all the buttons to let me know that he’s still in charge and because I’m doing whatever makes me happy. So dating someone younger makes me happy? I’m doing it! Which leads me to believe that it’s a jealousy problem. That jealousy is the underlying issue.”

Previously, Larsa tried her best to defend herself when an online troll ripped her for not sticking with Scottie. Larsa shot back, “Stop tripping dude. U don’t know what you’re talking about. I held him down and still do. Just bc I don’t air his dirty laundry doesn’t mean it doesn’t stink. I just don’t want to do his laundry anymore.”
Now that her divorce is wrapped up, the couple is able to focus on coparenting. The couple recently agreed to joint legal and physical custody of their two minor children. In addition, Scottie will pay Larsa an undisclosed sum for monthly child support until their kids turn 18.

I’m sure that Larsa is happy to move on from it all. She tweeted and deleted back in 2020, “I was married to him for 20 years, I did everything for him and my family. People change and that’s what really happened. Most people can’t even imagine being in a relationship for a week so I know it’s beyond imagination.” Hopefully, now she finally has her chance to do things her way.
