The relationship drama between OG of the OC Vicki Gunvalson and ex-fiancé and wannabe Governor of California, Steve Lodge is almost as messy as her relationship with Brooks Ayers. Almost. It almost makes me wish she was back on the Real Housewives of Orange County, so I could watch it play out in real time. Almost.
Actually, there is a chance. Vicki and dos amiga Tamra Judge will be appearing on the second season of the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. And since the two of them have never shied away from calling out the men (or anyone else for that matter) in their lives, there’s a chance. RHOC is just not the same without them, so I’m looking forward to the catch up. But I digress…
The break-up between Vicki and Steve, while not completely surprising, considering the rumors that their proposal was solely a tactic to give the grand dame her orange back, was not expected. At the beginning, the two released amicable statements about the split. That quickly changed. Before you knew it, Steve was not only called out as a cheater, but had found himself a much younger, new fiancé in Janice Carlson. As you do.
Vicki was not one to take this news lying down. Upset, no doubt, because Steve was filling up his love tank and not hers, she was quick to brand him a “Fame Whore“. How nice. She also took the opportunity to chase him out of a restaurant. Yes, you read that right. Can’t make this stuff up.
Vicki has attempted, albeit not perfectly, to let sleeping dogs lie. She is trying to move on with her life. For her, this apparently includes stripper parties and getaways. Not my cup of tea, but you do you.

Now, according to E! News, Vicki is dating again. “I actually am dating, very casually, two men. One in Chicago, and one in California.” You go girl! Take that Steve.
While Vicki may be dipping a toe back in the dating pool, she is in no rush to be engaged again. “The fact that Steve is already engaged, I don’t even want to mention his name. I don’t know how you do that. Three months after you break up [with] someone, you’re already engaged to somebody else. That, to me, is so crazy. There is no way I am ready to be engaged again! So, to me, that’s just bizarre.” This may be the first time, but I totally agree with Vicki here. It’s way too soon, and I’m glad (and slightly shocked) that she is self-aware enough to recognize that.
Not only is Vicki looking to date again, she’d also be open to find love on a date show. “I would love to do a dating show because I don’t trust my judgement! I’m a bad picker, I am realizing that. You tell me you love me, protect me, be all about me, adore me, don’t lie to me, don’t cheat, don’t steal, just love me. And I am a handful! But I am a lover, when I love I love through and through.”
I don’t know about that. I think Vicki did a pretty good job when she picked Donn Gunvalson. It’s just a shame she let reality tv come between them. Sometimes the grass isn’t greener. Ultimately, Vicki is just looking for, “a life partner that won’t hurt me.”

Perhaps Vicki and fellow narcissist attractor Meghan King could do a dating show together? After all, Meghan is single and looking to mingle. And we all know how good she is at sleuthing out false intentions. For other people, that is.
