I might be in the minority here, but I miss Yolanda Hadid on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Lemons anyone? Not to mention the fabulous dinner parties thrown by Yolanda and narcissist ex-husband David Foster. You never knew who would show up. (Or who would be shushed from the piano).
I think we can credit her last season, the season of Lyme, if you will, with making the shift in how these women “interacted” with one another. Or threw one another under the proverbial bus, one sacrificial lamb at a time. Whatever you prefer. The trifecta of Lisa Rinna, Kyle Richards, and Lisa Vanderpump claiming that Yolanda was faking her illness, set the tone going forward. LVP of course, ultimately succumbing to the same strategy
A lot has happened since Yolanda left RHOBH. She’s become a grandmother. While simultaneously, David became a first-time father, of a boy that is, with fifth (and much younger) wife Katharine McPhee. I think that’s nice.
Yolanda‘s daughter Gigi Hadid welcomed a baby with then-boyfriend Zayn Malik in 2020. Which would be lovely news, if there wasn’t a whole lot of drama that came with it. Yolanda alleged that Zayn shoved her into a dresser and called her less than pleasant names.

At the time, Gigi asked for privacy as she dealt with the conflict between her Baby Daddy and Mom. While she’s not speaking out about the incident specifically, she has come out to talk about her experiences when Yolanda was filming RHOBH.
According to Us Weekly, Gigi did not enjoy her time on the air, whatsoever. “…When people first started to get to know me, it was like, ‘Oh, her mom was [Yolanda Hadid] on [The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills]. That is her life.’ But that wasn’t my life or a part of my growing up. My mom wasn’t on TV until I was a senior in high school, so I was just on my way out of the house. But it was weird for me.”
Gigi continued, “I would come home from school and there would be production trucks outside. I would scale the staircase to my room so I wouldn’t have to go say hi to my mom in the kitchen.” Let’s just take a pause and remember that fabulous kitchen. My dream is to one day have a clear refrigerator that looks just like that. Le sigh.

Who in the world would go to such lengths to avoid that kitchen? Scaling staircases to avoid cameras? Clearly it couldn’t have been all that bad, since girl went on to be a supermodel. Just saying.
