This season of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is wild! The cast trip to Zion is jaw-dropping, and I am loving every bizarre moment, especially Club Zion. Lisa “Baby Gorgeous” Barlow’s split was impressive. Watch out, Kyle Richards!
RHOSLC star Jen Shah was still lashing out after her arrest in March of 2021 for money laundering and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. During the second Sprinter van trip from hell, Jen attacked Lisa.
Jen claimed that her bestie, Heather Gay, told her that Meredith Marks had some involvement in calling the feds. Obviously, that wasn’t true. And Jennie Nguyen told Jen that Meredith hired a private investigator. Jen needed someone to blame, and on this bus, it was Lisa because Meredith wasn’t there. Again. Meredith and Mary Cosby are allergic to traveling in this van.
Meredith seemed unfazed by Jen’s arrest and enjoyed a nice long soak in a bathtub while everyone else was trying to absorb the news. Meredith denied that she had any involvement in Jen’s legal issues, but she didn’t seem shocked, either.
Meredith shared her thoughts on Twitter, and also addressed hiring a private investigator. “While I appreciate the notion that you think that I have the power to influence a decade long FBI investigation — I had a cyber specialist investigate threatening texts sent to my son and Heather. I shared the info with H every step of the way,” Meredith wrote. Meredith hired the private investigator to look into the anonymous messages that were sent to both Heather and Meredith’s son, Brooks Marks.

Then Meredith explained further. “A specific person wasn’t investigated, the threats were. I doubt that a cyber specialist would be able to break into a decade long federal investigation,” the jewelry designer tweeted.
Of course, Meredith was still furious at Jen for allegedly reposting and liking homophobic comments about Brooks on social media. Jen apologized to both Meredith and Brooks, but Meredith stated that the investigator was pretty sure that the threats against Brooks and Heather came from Jen. And yet Heather is still all about being Jen’s ride-or-die.
According to Reality Blurb!, Heather reacted to Meredith’s sleuthing during The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City After Show. Spoiler alert–Heather wasn’t happy.
Heather explained, “It’s one thing to pursue horrible messages you’re receiving or threats or someone that’s coming after your son but it’s another thing to pursue people that you are esteeming to be your friends and are conducting yourself as if they are your friends.”
She continued, “If you’re my friend, you tell me what you’re comfortable telling me and I’ll be your friends on those terms.” Heather added, “Friendships should not be based on our resumes or our background checks so I think I felt sad that I was relegated to the same treatment as someone who had made death threats and been attacking her son [Brooks Marks].”

But if Heather was reportedly threatened too, shouldn’t she be fine with Meredith trying to discover the source? Heather commented that the main reason for hiring an investigator would be to uncover information on someone to use as “leverage,” or to “shame” them.
“And I would hope that no one would need an investigator to tell them those things about me,” she remarked. Heather said that the investigator probably discovered that she “goes to Applebee’s, TGIFridays and a lot of In-N-Out.” Heather slammed Meredith for hiring someone to dig up dirt. “What a waste of money,” Heather concluded.
