Mary Cosby

Mary Cosby Didn’t Attend Real Housewives Reunion Because “Those Girls Don’t Deserve My Presence”

There is no question that Mary Cosby is a polarizing figure on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. She has been fighting with every cast member this season. There were rumors that Mary’s church was actually run like a cult, and that Mary used funds from parishioners to pay for her lavish lifestyle.

RHOSLC co-star Lisa Barlow believes that Mary’s church allegedly operated like a cult, based on what her friend Cameron Williams told her. Meanwhile, Lisa’s supposed bestie, Meredith Marks, doesn’t believe the rumor that Mary’s church is a cult. Mary also denied the allegations about her church.

Mary also caught heat for several racially insensitive comments that she made this season. During the cast trip to Vail, the ladies all discussed co-star Jen Shah’s shocking arrest. Mary called Jen a “thug…like those Mexican people that make all those drugs.” In a since-deleted Instagram post, Mary apologized and called her remarks “reckless” and “unintentional.”

During the Pho dinner, Mary made several racially charged comments to Jennie Nguyen, who is the first Asian-American RHOSLC cast member. Mary mentioned the “yellow tones” of Jennie’s skin and her “slanted eyes.”

Jennie was looking forward to the reunion. “People need to be accountable for the things they say,” she posted on Instagram. “I can’t wait for the reunion!!!”

Well, it looks like none of the Salt Lake City ladies will have a chance to hold Mary’s feet to the fire because she was a no-show for the reunion. That’s right- viewers won’t get to see Mary blissfully napping like at the Season 1 reunion. An insider stated that “Mary did not attend the reunion.”

Another source said that Mary dipped out because she “did not want to confront the controversy surrounding her this season. She was terrified of getting grilled about her ‘racist’ comments made toward Jennie [Nguyen] and Jen [Shah]. The source added, “She also did not want to discuss the accusations that she runs a cult.”

Housewives fans know that missing a reunion is not acceptable, and there is a high likelihood that Mary won’t be asked back for Season 3 of RHOSLC, which is scheduled to start production in the coming weeks. It is always disappointing for viewers when Housewives don’t show up to hash out the events of the season.

“This was the kiss of death for Mary,” the source stated. “She hardly has any alliances left in the cast, who hoped she would have shown up to the reunion to take accountability for her behavior and the allegations about her church.”

On January 7, 2022, Mary took to Twitter to explain why she skipped the reunion. The screenshot was shared by @thottythoughtss on Twitter. “I didn’t go to the reunion. Those girls don’t deserve my presence,” Mary wrote. “Whitney [Rose] can go jump on a stripper pole for all I care. I only care about 1 thing my church. Haters can go jump,” Mary added. “PrayForJesus #RHOSLC.”

The other side of the screenshot showed that Mary’s account was suspended at that time, but it is back now. I doubt that the same can be said about Mary next season. And I am fine with that after her appalling antics.

TELL US- ARE YOU SHOCKED THAT MARY SKIPPED THE REUNION? DO YOU THINK THAT SHE WILL BE FIRED? DO YOU WANT HER TO COME BACK NEXT SEASON?
