The holiday season may be coming to a close, but Nicki Minaj is getting me back into the festive spirit with her lavish gifts to the children of the Real Housewives of Potomac. Nicki Claus came to the town of Potomac with a whole lot of fabulous gifts for the good little girls and boys. And I’m only a little bit jealous that I wasn’t born to be the daughter of Wendy Osefo or Karen Huger, but we all can’t win.
It’s the least Nicki could do after taking over Andy Cohen’s seat at the RHOP reunion, because she went after the ladies pretty hard. Ashley Darby felt the brunt of it when Nicki asked her questions (that we all we thinking, by the way) about the infamous Michael Darby and her messy antics. Other pot stirrers like Gizelle Bryant were not immune to Nicki’s tough questions either. So it wasn’t a shock when Nicki sent Gizzy’s three daughters a trio of Gucci purses for Christmas. But apparently, she had a few more tricks up her sleeve for the other RHOP kids.
Robyn Dixon posted on Instagram that her two boys received Gucci wallets for Christmas. At first, the kids had a hard time reading who the present was from since Nicki wrote her name in cursive. But once Robyn literally spelled it out for them (like the super-mom she is), their faces lit up. Not only were the wallets designer, but Nicki threw a couple of hundred dollar bills inside for each of the boys. “Thank you @nickiminaj for creating a truly awesome ‘moment for life’ for Corey and Carter,” Robyn wrote in the caption. Absolutely adorable.

Miss Ashley also received some Gucci accessories for her boys. She posted a photo of her youngest son Dylan wearing a Gucci hat and scarf. “So kind and thoughtful of you to think about the babies this holiday season,” Ashley wrote in the caption. Zen Wen also posted an Instagram story to announce that her kids received presents from Nicki as well. “I’m out of the country right now, but my notifications have been blowing up,” Wendy wrote.
Nicki Claus made her rounds on Instagram to see the happy faces of the RHOP children. “Oh, hi handsome boys,” she commented on Robyn’s post. She also gushed to Ashley over how cute her new little baby is. “Omg he reminds me of my son doing that lil pose,” Nicki wrote. I am living for this wholesome content.
Well, not so fast. Mia Thornton decided to insert herself into the narrative and sour the holly jolly mood. In a since-deleted Instagram video (captured by @thebravoshaderoom), Mia posted a rant video about her kids not receiving Gucci gifts from Miss Minaj. “If that means I gotta buy them their own Gucci for Christmas so they feel like they’re not left out, then guess what? We’re going to the Gucci store,” Mia said.

She added that it’s a “very sensitive” topic for her because of her childhood trauma. It seems a little hypocritical to complain about not receiving free designer kids’ clothing from someone who she has admitted is a total stranger. But go off, Mia, whatever you gotta do.
Andiana Minaj was not going to let little Messy Mia ruin the holiday spirit. She tweeted (and deleted), “Mia I was following you on IG but then your page disappeared. I asked and no one knew for sure how to find you or what was your real page anymore. I have receipts, I’ll gladly post them if you’d like me to. I don’t play like that about children. Pls send me the addy mama.” And that’s exactly how you play the game, kids. Kill them with kindness.
Mia wanted to be so high and mighty by saying that she wasn’t going to back down to Nicki during the reunion in order to get free Gucci for her kids. Yet, she complained about it all publically anyway. But it sounds to me like she blocked Nicki in the first place and dug her own grave.
When Mia saw Nicki’s post, she tweeted, “Queen. My sincere apologies.”

It’s unclear whether or not the Grand Dame’s kids received a gift, but they are much older than the other RHOP kiddos. Candiace Dillard doesn’t have kids of her own, but it’s obvious Chris Bassett wasn’t going to make Nicki’s Nice List this year. Maybe we can all try again in 2022.
