Dorit Kemsley Recalls Begging For Her Life During Robbery; Says “I Fought For Mine And My Kids’ Lives”

Kyle Richards recently confirmed that Season 12 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is already filming. Dorit Kemsley has been involved in some chilling real-life drama that will no doubt figure prominently on RHOBH next season. On October 27, 2021, three intruders broke the glass on her children’s’ classroom door and entered Dorit’s home. Dorit and her two children were in the house, but her husband, PK Kemsley, was in London.

Dorit was awakened by two men standing near the end of her bed. The armed robbers took “all of Kemsley’s jewelry and handbags,” but never entered the children’s bedrooms. I can only imagine the terror that Dorit must have felt.

PK said that his wife “was in shock” after the harrowing ordeal. On October 30, 2021, Dorit took to Instagram to post an update. “As you all know by now, I have been through a terrifying ordeal, one that no parent or person should ever have to experience. I’ve received so many messages of love and support and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart,” Dorit wrote.

“My kids are unaware of what happened, they slept through it and I thank God for keeping my kids and myself from being physically harmed,” she added. Dorit’s co-stars have been a shoulder to lean on. I’m glad to see that she has support from her RHOBH cast members.

According to E! News, Dorit shared more details of her terrifying experience with Extra on November 9, 2021. Dorit explained that the thieves were “surprised” to find her at home. Dorit was “completely taken off guard” by the robbers. She stated that she was pushed to the ground, while one intruder asked her who else was in the home.

Dorit shared, “There was someone else who said, ‘Just kill her, just kill her already, just kill her,’ and all I could think of, ‘I have to save those babies.’ I begged them, I begged for my life, and begged for their life,” the fashion designer added.

“I stayed very calm because I knew they were very panicked, and if I didn’t, the situation could have gone a lot worse,” Dorit remarked. “I fought for mine and my kids’ lives, and I got lucky.” She surely did.

She remembered telling the robbers to “take it all,” but begged them not to hurt her because she was a mother. Dorit has had “panic attacks” since the incident, and her top priority is how to keep her family safe.

A law enforcement insider told NBC News that after authorities got a call about a robbery, they arrived and were told that “two or three men” had stolen jewelry and other items. The source added that the intruders went upstairs after gaining entry to the home. They found Dorit in bed and ordered her out, claiming to be armed. It is unknown whether Dorit saw any weapons.

According to NBC News, the source stated that threats were made by one or more of the intruders to kill the victim. The robbers ordered her to lead them to the valuables in the mansion. The thieves allegedly stole around $1 million in valuables. E! News has not yet verified this information.

Now authorities are looking to the public for help. ABC News Los Angeles reported that “authorities on Monday sought the public’s assistance to identify three suspects in a home-invasion robbery in Encino that targeted Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Dorit Kemsley.”

The video, which was shown in this ABC 7 Eyewitness News segment, depicts the intruders trying to gain entry into Dorit’s home. “The new footage shows two masked men in hoodies approach a glass door of the home and begin to talk to each other before one of them shatters the door.”

The video clip also “shows one of the men hauling away the stolen items in a sheet that was tied up and handing it off to another suspect outside the home.” Later, “three suspects are seen leaving the home and fleeing the scene in a black truck.”

“Anyone with information on the suspects” is asked to “call the LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division at 213-486-6840. Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or submitted online at lacrimestoppers.org.”
