Mary Cosby’s scenes on the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City don’t seem to have changed much due to the pandemic. She’s either in her house, or in her closet. Though the amount of trinkets Mary has stored throughout her home indicates that the closet has spilled way beyond its designated confines.
Mary attended cast events during the first half of Season One, but since then, has kept herself away from the drama. And based on the little we’ve seen of her wardrobe, lined on racks throughout her mansion, who wouldn’t be happy among its contents and admiring their glory?
So of course, the glamorous pastor was happy to give Us Weekly a tour of her closet. Jen Shah’s nemesis showed off her “favorite” Balmain blazer, a pair of fringe-embellished Louboutin stilettos, and a leather Louis Vuitton purse.
Stunning pieces for sure, but what really catches the eye is Mary’s vast collection of vintage handbags, boots, and ski-caps from her favorite designer, Chanel. The eclectic and highly valuable mix includes Double Flap bags and combat boots. But the bags!

The Chanel Sand Bag has actual sand inside. Mary said it is, “made for the beach. It’s made for water and it can get wet.” If you can find someone willing to sell the “fierce” bag, it will set you back around $6,495.
Mary clearly has a soft spot in her heart for quirky purses. She has two Chanel menu bags in her possession. The aptly named purse takes the shape of a menu with a fold at the bottom and a flap up top. “It’s like you’ve been around the world and got menus,” Mary gushed, “I only have two, but I like them.”
So how vintage is Mary’s collection really? Well, she has a piece from the era of Coco Chanel, when the fashion maven still ran her company. “This one is Chanel because this was Coco Chanel, like the real Chanel lady,” Mary explained, “the real girl.”
When Mary was asked to pick her “favorite” purse, she decided on a Chanel bag in the likeness of a Cuban cigar box. Apparently, it’s made from the same material as well. Mary explained, “I don’t know why, it’s just a feeling to it. It’s literally a handbag, but it’s literally a material from a real Cuba cigar. I’m sure guys would like this one.”

Mary really needs to get out to more RHOSLC cast events, because us viewers want to see more of her fashion statements for sure.
