Garcelle Beauvais Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

Garcelle Beauvais Has Written A Book

It’s only her sophomore season on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and in my opinion Garcelle Beauvais is killing it. There’s no sophomore slump for her, no ma’am.  And now, before the reunion even drops, comes word that like many RHOBH alums before her (Lisa Vanderpump, Erica Jayne, Brandi Glanville, Lisa Rinna, etc.), Garcelle has written a book.

We’ve been waiting all season for the reunion of all reunions. So much to cover that it will be airing over 4 episodes. Go ahead and at me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think that’s ever happened before. We know that the majority of the reunion will cover the Erika and Tom Girardi ongoing legal woes. And, some portion has to discuss the conflict between Sutton Stracke and Erika and Sutton and Crystal Kung Minkoff, but I hope there’s time to cover what Garcelle has been bringing to the table.

Time after time, Garcelle has proven herself to be a true friend. She was unwavering in her support of Denise Richards during the she-said, she-said Brandi fiasco last year, something other long-time friends should have paid attention to. Looking at you Rinna. And this year, not only is her friendship with Sutton fun to watch, but she’s got her back as well.

But what I really love about Garcelle, is her authenticity. She highlights her culture with a fabulous dinner and speaks her peace, without preachiness, a la Eboni K. Williams over at the Real Housewives of New York City. And while she tends to keep her feelings close to her vest, when she opens up, it’s been with a realness and vulnerability that don’t beg for us to question her choice of mascara.

Y’all, this might be the first Bravolebrity book I actually read. According to People, Garcelle’s memoir is entitled, Love Me As I Am, and will be coming to a bookstore near you, next April. The book will explore the conflict Garcelle has felt between wanting to be both a “good girl” and a “rebel.”

“When I started along the journey of penning my memoir I had no idea how much of an eye-opening experience it would be,” Garcelle told People exclusively. “I am deeply proud to share my journey as a woman, the struggles, and funny memories with those who have followed me throughout my career in Hollywood.”

While the book will cover Garcelle’s childhood in Haiti and move to the United States, and her subsequent work as an actress and model, what we really want to know is the real story behind her experiences on RHOBH. Dish the dirt Garcelle. Dish the dirt.

According to People, she will. Garcelle, “promises to provide ‘juicy behind-the-scenes stories’ of the hit show.”

Garcelle’s biggest hope for her book however, is that people “…come away knowing me a little bit better through the laughter and tears that life has brought my way. If nothing else, they will see that as with everyone, it takes resilience, fortitude and faith to survive and thrive — and I’m still standing!”
