Jersey Shore Star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Avoids Jail Time After Violating Probation

Jersey Shore OG Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has definitely had plenty of struggles in his relationships with women. We saw it play out in the early Shore days when he and Sammi Giancola’s toxic relationship was a major point of contention in the house. And caused a riff not just between the two of them, but all of the roommates. Most Jersey Shore fans are probably with me by being able to conjure Sammi yelling, “Ronn stahppppp” in our heads without a struggle. Or can recite the exact words of “the note” written by Snooki and JWoww.

And since then, Ronnie’s relationships have been far from smooth sailing. His relationship with Jenn Harley, with whom he also shares a daughter, was filled with very public domestic violence allegations. Just last year, Ronnie received 36 months of probation as part of a plea deal in a domestic violence case with Jenn. And a few months ago, he violated that probation with another alleged domestic violence incident with his latest girlfriend (now fiance) Saffire Matos.

TMZ reports that Ronnie narrowly avoided jail time for violating his probation with another arrest. He appeared in court last week to admit to the probation violation, but the judge gave him a second chance. The judge ordered Ronnie to take 26 parenting classes as well as enacted a 3-year protective order for Saffire, preventing Ron from harassing or intimidating her. He also received credit for completing a rehab program in Florida in recent weeks.

According to Radar Online, Saffire and Ronnie got engaged just weeks after the domestic violence incident. The details aren’t clear of what led to Ron’s arrest, but Saffire claims it was a misunderstanding. However, she was the one who allegedly called the cops on her boyfriend prior to his most recent arrest.

As of now, Ronnie is still on probation and is apparently 5 months sober, according to TMZ. He plans to return to filming Jersey Shore Family Vacation after stepping away from the show to work on his personal issues. The recent court appearance had to be a major wake-up call for Ron, who had the possibility of immediately going to jail for the violation.

TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT RONNIE AVOIDING JAIL TIME AFTER VIOLATING PROBATION? DO YOU HOPE TO SEE HIM BACK ON JERSEY SHORE FAMILY VACATION SOON?
