Woe is the current season of the Real Housewives of New York. The fans have made it very clear that Season 13 was NOT it. Leah McSweeney isn’t having the best season by a longshot, and the fans aren’t afraid to let her know it. There are mixed feelings about newbie Eboni K. Williams bringing issues of race to the forefront. And frankly, Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan are having their same old storylines, but without all the usual goofiness. It’s clear a change is needed, starting with adding more people to the group.
In the midst of poor ratings for RHONY, a bunch of rumors have emerged. The origin of the rumors is mysterious — is that you, Elyse Slaine? Or maybe Harry Dubin is trying to cause drama between his circle of ex-lovers. There was word the filming for the reunion is on hold and a cast shake-up is imminent. And there have been whispers that the Ramonacoaster might be coming to a full and final halt, after 13 seasons. Many fans were outraged — Ramona can be problematic and a bit of a mess, but she’s been instrumental to RHONY since the beginning. Literally, there’s no one else who would poop on the floor, eat dog food, and accidentally Instagram their bank statement except for Miss Mona.
And if Ramona leaves, who will replace her? It seems like a longshot that Bethenny Frankel would make a comeback at this point. Maybe Dorinda Medley, but some of her best scenes are when she’s calling out Ramona’s bad behavior.
It all is up in the air, but Ramona recently took to Instagram to dispel any rumors that she’s received a pink slip from Bravo just yet.

In an exchange captured by @CommentsByBravo, a fan asked Ramona to set the record straight of whether or not she’s been fired. “Fans want to know,” the fan wrote. Understatement of the year. Mona kept it simple just responding “No” which is enough, but still pretty vague.
Frankly, firing Ramona makes no sense to me. She’s a part of the first-ever Real Housewives All-Stars series. And Ramona is one of the only cast members bringing something, albeit, a lot of running, to Season 13. Lu, Ramona and Sonja with a Sexy J are untouchable to me. I think the key is more women, more parties and a return of the Bezerkshires.
