There was an opening in the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast when Season 10 ended. After dealing with the Brandi Glanville hook-up drama, Denise Richards dipped out of the franchise in September of 2020. It wasn’t a surprise, given that the only RHOBH cast member who stood by her side was her friend, Garcelle Beauvais.
For Season 11, Sutton Stracke was promoted and given full-time status, along with her very own diamond. Kyle Richards’ sister, Kathy Hilton, signed on as a Friend of the Housewives. Kyle and Kathy have sometimes had a rocky relationship. Kathy was angry when Kyle’s husband, Mauricio Umansky, left her husband Rick Hilton’s real estate firm to start his own.
And when Kyle developed a scripted television series, American Woman that was “loosely based” on her experiences growing up, Kathy wasn’t throwing any confetti. Kathy thought that some family issues should stay private. Perish the thought!
Now Crystal Kung Minkoff has joined RHOBH for Season 11. Crystal has her own business called RealCoco. The company’s products include coffee creamer, chips, and coconut water. She is married to Rob Minkoff, who directed The Lion King, and they have two kids.
In the Season 11 trailer, which was shared on Queens of Bravo’s Twitter page, Crystal came for Sutton. Crystal told Sutton, “You’re an inappropriate, awkward person because you’re jealous, period.” A furious Sutton replied, “F*ck you, Crystal! Jealous of what? Your ugly leather pants?” Oh, these two are going to be at each other’s throats all season.

During the Season 11 premiere, Lisa Rinna and Kyle stopped by Crystal’s house-even though they had never met. Awkward! Kyle and Crystal seemed to click immediately. I like Crystal’s energy, and it seems like she doesn’t suffer fools gladly. Poor Crystal may be on the wrong show.
Crystal told E! News that she was “nervous” about fitting in with her fellow Housewives. Most of the Beverly Hills ladies “welcomed me with open arms.” I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Sutton didn’t roll out the welcome mat for Crystal.
Crystal said, “I immediately felt connected to Garcelle [Beauvais], like day one. And I think also because she has known [my husband] Rob for a long time, so when I walked in there, I was like, ‘OK, Garcelle is my friend,’ because I knew her,” she stated.

Now if only Lisa could say that Garcelle was her friend. Garcelle isn’t feeling it after the way Lisa treated Denise last season.
“And Dorit [Kemsley] was really warm to me. I think because we have young kids, and I think back on that very first time I met her, she just had the biggest smile and was so welcoming and just made me feel welcomed,” Crystal remarked. “And for anyone to do that with someone who is brand new to the group with strong personalities is really sweet.”
