Andy Cohen is the king of reality TV. He’s the creative force behind the Real Housewives franchise. He’s responsible for us being so involved in the lives of Vicki Gunvalson, Teresa Giudice, Ramona Singer, and so many other women throughout the franchise’s 15-year history. And that’s not even mentioning all of the other Bravo shows we’ve come to love.
And even though he’s definitely an expert on the ins and outs of what makes good TV, Andy isn’t so keen on making a show about himself.
Ahead of the premiere of Andy’s new show on E!, For Real: The Story of Reality TV, E! News recently asked the host if he’d ever do a reality show about his own life. And he definitely wasn’t down for the idea.
“No! I would be horrible because I wouldn’t trust the producers and I would be editing myself,” he said. “It would just not go well.” Hmm, I wonder what some current and former housewives think of Andy himself questioning the producers’ motives. We’ve heard cast members blaming bad editing over and over again. Maybe there is some truth if even Andy is afraid.

He added that if he were to make a show about himself, he’d take notes from Keeping Up With The Kardashians matriarch Kris Jenner.
“I think I would be editing myself. I like to have the final cut like Kris Jenner,” Andy said.

Even though he’s not down for the idea, it would be fascinating to see what a day in the life of Andy. We want to see him hanging out with Anderson Cooper, taking care of his son, Ben Cohen, and dealing with housewives behind-the-scenes.
