Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance The Other Way proved that these people aren’t complete lost causes (all the time). I guess there is hope for them to grow as couples or individually. At least they can pretend to be mature and take accountability on occasion. Keep in mind that everything I am saying is subject to change. Next week I could think everyone is doomed, once again. Only time will tell how long this enlightened version of some of the cast will last.
Kenneth Niedermeier wants Armando Rubio to answer an important question. Tim Clarkson braces for a sit-down with Melyza Zeta‘s father. Yazan Abo Horira gives Brittany Banks an ultimatum. Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee move into their new apartment. Let’s get straight to the 90 Day Fiance The Other Way recap!
Kenneth, 57 (St. Petersburg, Florida) and Armando 31, (Mexico)
Armando thinks he is being taken on a romantic dinner date, but ends up with much more. He is shocked when Kenneth gets on one knee to propose to him. Things get even better when Kenneth’s children come out of hiding to celebrate with them. This scene is so beautiful!

I know feeling fully supported by Kenneth’s family meant so much to Armando. It’s especially heartwarming since Armando is worried about his own family’s acceptance. Now he knows that he has a second family who loves him as well.
Brittany, 26 (Palm Beach, Florida) and Yazan, 24 (Jordan)
Brittany has finally realized she actually needs to learn the culture if she intends on marrying Yazan eventually. She even agrees to go to the mosque and learn more about traditions. I’m so proud of Brittany! She actually didn’t complain or act like a brat the entire time. She reveals her prayer is for Yazan’s parents to like her again. Good luck with that. Umm, Brittany you may want to pray for your divorce to be finalized. It’s only so long you can prolong this wedding by using your father as an excuse.
Yazan takes Brittany out to discuss the issue with his parents. Unfortunately for them, his parents no longer believe Brittany is serious about her relationship with their son. If Brittany genuinely wants to marry Yazan, she will be expected to convert to Islam. When he gives her 3 days to make a decision, she does not take the news well. Sigh! I would love to be a fly on the wall to know what the hell these two discussed before she moved to Jordan.

From what I can see, it was virtually nothing. I don’t understand how Brittany had no idea that she would be expected to convert or get married within a certain amount of time. Especially when she was friends with Yazan’s sister, before she ever met him. Now that she is actually in Jordan, Yazan and his parents are expecting things to progress. She is using every tactic to stall them. Just tell him you are still married and stop this charade! Yazan should have also done a better job of giving his fiancé timelines before she moved as well. One thing for certain is Brittany will have to make some concessions in order to marry Yazan.
After storming out and speaking with producers, Brittany returns in much calmer state. She explains that she needs more than one lesson, before she agrees to convert to another religion. In the end, Yazan agrees to give her as much time as she needs. Insert side eye. There is no way he is going to keep that promise with the pressure he is under with his family. It may not be in 3 days, but the day will come where he will require a final decision.
Deavan, 22 (Salt Lake City, Utah) & Jihoon, 29 (South Korea)
Deavan and Jihoon have finally found a new apartment that isn’t in the slums of South Korea. Even their parents approve of their temporary home. Given Deavan’s mother’s personality, her endorsement speaks volumes. When both families sit down to talk about all of their issues, things go downhill fast. Jihoon’s mom listens quietly while Deavan and her mother criticize her son.

She may be playing nice now, but there are only so many insults she is going to allow, before she snaps. Deavan may be safe now that her mother is there, but it may not be wise to continue to piss off her mother-in-law. Based on the preview, Jihoon is about to make a terrible mistake that may cost him his marriage.
Tim, 34 (Dallas, Texas) and Melyza, 29 (Colombia)
Tim decides in order to start over with Melyza with a clean slate he must tell her dad about his infidelity. Sigh! Tim, I admire your honesty, but instead of just dealing with Melyza’s mother you just doubled your problems. When Tim finally reveals his secret, he is brought to tears by her dad’s reaction.

Unfortunately, Melyza’s dad will never view him the same way ever again. He even tells Melyza if it was up to him, they wouldn’t be together. I just don’t see these two ever truly moving on from the past. It’s been a year and they are still talking about the issue as if it happened yesterday. I don’t know how long Tim will be able to endure this, before he eventually goes home. Especially now that Tim only has Melyza for support now that her parents are against their relationship.
