The coronavirus pandemic disrupted life in very visible ways. Schools were closed, non-essential employees worked from home, and Netflix became a whole lot more popular. What was not apparent at first was how the lockdown would affect our guilty pleasure of watching reality TV. Specifically, of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Cutting filming and production will create a lag time between the most recent season and the next.
Back in March, filming for Season 11 was cut short amid fears for the health of cast and crew. At that point, RHONJ was only a few episodes in before production was shut down. The Garden State has seemingly gained control of the coronavirus. As a result, the network has released a tentative timeline to resume filming.
An insider told HollywoodLife, “the ladies can’t wait” to resume filming. Bravo deemed July a safe time period to restart production and the cast, “got the call about filming this week.”
According to the insider, the cast is optimistic about restarting in July. “They don’t want to take any chances on starting earlier than that,” the insider revealed.

The entire cast from season 10 will be returning. That includes Teresa Guidice, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Dolores Catania, and Jackie Goldschneider.
This group of ladies will bring drama. Arguably, tthey do not need an addition to their cast. However, “the network is toying with the idea” of adding another lady.

“But since they weren’t even one full week into filming, they haven’t decided yet,” the insider explained, “they are talking to a few women though to see if they’d mesh, but it’s looking like it could be just the same ladies for next season.”
The show cleaves to Teresa. It’s arguably been the Teresa show from the beginning, and now that the she is starting a new life without ex-husband Joe Giudice, her storyline will be the focal point of the season. A source claimed, “Teresa’s new storyline will be all about moving forward and moving on with her life.”

An insider said, “you will definitely see Teresa dating and she’s expressed she’s starting to feel ready. She’d like to find someone eventually to settle down with who’s older. The other ladies’ haven’t figured out their storylines yet. The show will heavily revolve around her during season 11.” Just like it always does.
And what about the remaining cast? It became Team Tre versus Team Melissa last season. Jennifer and Jackie butted heads on finances, while Teresa and Margaret tried to move forward after it was revealed on the finale that Teresa encouraged Danielle Staub to pull Margaret’s hair. Will the group repair its dynamics?
