After years of feuding, NeNe Leakes and Wendy Williams became BFF’s. Then, they morphed into frenemies when Wendy claimed that NeNe wants to quit Real Housewives of Atlanta and that NeNe is hiding a major secret that would “make hearts melt.” Clearly, NeNe isn’t leaving RHOA. However, I cannot help wondering what that heart-melting secret could be.
Wendy appeared on an episode of RHOA via speakerphone to offer NeNe some advice. Wendy told NeNe to show her co-star some love and kindness, which NeNe has not done. Recently, NeNe has been all about the Instagram Live sessions, just like every reality TV star these days. Recently, she called Wendy on speakerphone while she was filming and Wendy was not happy about the surprise cameo appearance.
Wendy ranted about this during an episode of her talk show this week. Page Six reported that Wendy said, “You know I don’t have face or time for FaceTime, period. If I don’t do it for my own parents…why would I be doing it for someone over there. I like NeNe, but she’s still an over-there person to me!” Well, damn, Wendy. Tell them how you really feel.
Despite her delivery, I get what Wendy was feeling. Who wants to be exploited for someone else’s personal gain/attention-seeking?

Wendy remarked, “Honestly, here’s where the ambush comes in. She said, ‘Wendy, look’ — she was in hair and makeup and wardrobe with all her people — she said, ‘We filming and I want you to be on the speaker.’ I said, ‘NeNe, I did that for you one time.’ Remember my appearance? One time!” And never again.
Wendy came for NeNe’s livelihood with her subsequent remarks. Wendy said, “I made it very clear, I am not a Housewife. Sorry, my career is a bit…different…then being a Housewife. I don’t need that kind of attention.” Plus, Wendy doesn’t even live in the ATL, although I’d love to see her in the Hamptons with the New York Housewives.

The talk show host declared, “I’m not slumming for being some add on out the suitcase for some Housewife. And yeah, for me, that is slumming. For where I am.”
Right after Wendy’s rant, NeNe posted, “Public disrespect and private apologies don’t mix.” That cannot be a coincidence. Are they feuding? Or is this just a very aggressive friendship?
