Love Is Blind is such a fascinating show because the cast members solely got to know each other through talking and didn’t even get to see each other. Well, that’s mostly true.
Considering that the show solely featured Atlanta residents, it really isn’t that shocking that two people actually knew each other prior to filming Love Is Blind. It’s a bit surprising that it was not actually mentioned on the show, but that’s where social media comes in: to fill in those gaps.
In an Instagram Story question and answer session, a follower asked Jessica Batten “Did you know Kelly [Chase] before the show?” In response, Jessica shared a throwback photo of the two of them. She also wrote, “I’ve known Kel for 10 years.” Wait. What? How did this not get aired?
In response to someone who shared a screenshot on Twitter, one viewer wrote, “There’s something about this that I’m not loving about this. Don’t know what it is, but just something….” But, the person who posted it had a logical explantion for that: “tbh I think it’s probably quite a normal explanation. like maybe one of them applied and told their single friends and they decided to do it too not thinking they would get picked and then they both ended up in the final selection + also getting engaged on the show.” Makes sense.

Someone else reacted, “I’m actually getting a headache. I- w h a t ?” Same here. A different person commented, “No way?! I need a backstory.” Once again, same here.
And, of course, one person theorized, “Wow. I swear it’s scripted.” That is said about almost every single reality TV show ever, isn’t it?
