It’s been hard to accept the new Vanderpump Rules cast members, with their racist tweets, aversions to pasta, and just the fact that it just takes too much effort to keep track of the 13,544 cast members who star in this show.
However, there’s one new person that the longtime cast members actually seem to like, Dayna Kathan. Well, almost all of the longtime cast members. Scheana Marie has put Dayna through the ringer, hazing her at SUR, kicking her out of a group hair appointment, and just getting all in Dayna’s business over her hookups with Max Boyens. Lisa Vanderpump even accused Scheana of being jealous of Dayna, which Scheana denied, at first.
In a recent interview with toofab, Dayna shared her thoughts on Scheana. Dayna declared, “Scheana just has a way of spinning things, and I think she’s always really concerned about saving face, so she will deflect at all costs.” I can’t blame Scheana for those efforts though. Every single episode this season includes a montage of flasbacks, clearly put together to embarrass Scheana. I’m not saying it’s a tough task to find humiliating clips of Scheana, but it’s just a little unfair that this happens every single episode, almost solely to her.
Dayna continued, “That was fine. That’s her defense mechanism. But I believe that Lisa and everyone else around us was like calling a spade a spade. Like, you are jealous, so just own that and move on.” Scheana did finally cop to the jealousy in the back alley of SUR during the LGBTQ pride episode.

Dayna wasn’t done though. She told the publication, “When she says a bunch of times that I ‘irked’ her, she didn’t interact with me enough for me to give her any type of impression by the time I had irked her, so it was obviously something else.” It could really be a number of things. I’m sure Scheana (and some other Vanderpump Rules cast members) are not happy by the amount of screentime Dayna gets, along with the almost universally positive reception from the fans.
Meanwhile, I’m still sitting here scratching my head trying to figure out why these women were ever into Max. What am I missing?
