The gift that keeps on giving. Southern Charm’s former cast member Thomas Ravenel is no longer on the show, but has been creating lots of drama in real life.
Thomas and ex Kathryn Dennis could have had an entire show dedicated to the toxicity of their relationship. Yet, it’s not enough that the two of them were accusing the other of being a horrible person. Now, one of Thomas’ friends is getting involved.
While together, Thomas and Kathryn, had a very volatile relationship. They had kids, separated and a nasty custody battle began. Both sides accused the other of being a horrible person. Thomas was charged with a sexual assault. He pleaded guilty to assault and paid a fine. Then he and Kathryn finally reached a custody agreement. However, it does not appear as though all the drama is done.
Recently, we learned that one of Thomas’ friends Lara Dawson was arrested for filing a false police report against Kathryn. According to Lara, she had witnessed Kathryn go from the front door, to the back and “take something with her.” Lara also claimed, “the property had signs of forced entry..”

However, when the police arrived they stated there “appeared to be pre-existing damage to the framing on the lower part of the door. The exposed wood looked aged and roughly in the same condition to the rest of the framing.” Damn police officers and their need to investigate crimes. And collect evidence that supports those crimes having even been committed.
But wait. It got even better. Police learned Kathryn had been with her attorney during the time of the burglary. So Lara, who was also a former roommate of Ashley Jacobs, was arrested. She was able to post her $1500 bond and was released the next day.

Now, according to an article from Yahoo, The Blast has obtained court documents that show Lara has been hit with a felony charge of filing a false police report. If found guilty, she could face years in prison and a thousand dollar fine. I bet Lara has learned the hard way that crime doesn’t pay.
