Last week Real Housewives of Orange County alum, Meghan Edmonds’ estranged husband Jim Edmonds publicly addressed the current state of his marriage. Jim faced accusations of cheating with the couple’s nanny. This was after getting caught texting pics of his genitalia to an ex-flame. They attempted to resolve issues of trust and move forward by receiving counsel on their broken bond. Unfortunately, Jim was hanging with the help and allegedly lying about it. Naturally this lit Meghan’s fuse and everything quickly turned to crap when Jim filed for divorce.
For reasons unknown to practical human nature, both parties have taken their anger straight to the media. Even Jim’s family has gotten involved. Thankfully, Jim eventually stepped in and made what we all assumed was a peaceful statement. He claimed to love his wife and detailed his desire to handle things like adults, out of the public eye. Clearly his longing for privacy didn’t stick. Now Jim has gone full petty. Meghan decided to go out last night and Jim stayed with the kids. What happened next is a serious lesson on what not to do if you have cheated on your wife in the name of maintaining privacy.
What happened to “I love my family and will make it right again,” Jimbo? None of this is good. None of this is pretty. And none of this is right. After Jim’s statement of hope last week, we began to wonder if they would try to go an amicable route. As of last night, this shit ain’t amicable, it is a true dumpster fire. I’ll take Disasters Gonna Disaster for $1,000, Alex.
Last night Meg went out. Jim was gracious enough to stay with their kids. A source told Us Weekly what happened, “Meghan came home from being out with friends and she had a couple glasses of wine. It was the first time Jim stayed at her house and put the kids to sleep since he filed for divorce, so she met up with friends. She didn’t drive.” Seems pretty harmless, right? Yeah, not so fast.
The insider shared, “She [Meghan] was washing her face when she heard someone knock around 10:30 p.m. An officer was there with Jim and told her Jim said he was worried she couldn’t care for [their] kids.” AW HELL NO, JIM. Yep, he went there. He called the po po because Meghan took a night off. An eyewitness said the officer asked Meghan if she felt “comfortable and capable” of taking care of Aspen and the twins. There are no reports of Meghan drooling in the corner or being incapacitated by alcohol consumption.
Meghan confirmed she was just fine, “Of course, yes!” Meghan replied to the officer. But you know, it is Meghan, so she added, “In your personal opinion, do you think that I am in any way, incapable, of taking care of my three little baby children who are totally desperate for a parent?” The officer advised Meghan he doesn’t “know” her that way but did conclude she was not impaired enough to warrant action. The officer stated, “Right now, my opinion is is that you are fit enough to take care of your children tonight and that’s all that I’m concerned with.” This was the wrong road, Jim. THE WRONG ROAD!
Then the witness said Jim accused Meghan of cheating with the dude who was her designated driver. Jim “offered to sleep on the couch for the night and Meghan rejected that offer.” Yeah I bet she did. Jim revealed he did call the police, but only to help. Please Jim, we aren’t stupid. “I did not call the police on my wife,” he said. “I called the police to protect the situation and make sure there were no further issues.” The court of public opinion is about to go rogue on Jim, which is ironic because Meghan doesn’t have a huge supportive fan base.
Even though it happened and was over quickly, they decided to make it public fodder the source shared, “Meghan had never been so humiliated in her life.” ‘Ole boy Jim might want to start sleeping with one eye open. Look, he can cheat. He can lie. He can have family members trash his wife. But once you go in on a mother’s parenting, you have set yourself in a very unstable position. Now Jimmy has pulled this stunt queen move which is likely to be on Meghan’s mind for quite some time. And we all know what happens once Meg has a bone to pick. Good luck, Jim. You’ll need it.
