Joe Giudice Plans To Become An MMA Fighter After His Release

Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Joe Giudice is doing everything in his power to avoid deportation to Italy. Joe and his wife, Teresa Giudice, pleaded guilty to federal fraud charges in 2014. Teresa served nearly one year at camp in jail. Joe received a sentence of 41 months. He was released from prison and taken into ICE custody on March 14, 2019.

Joe, who came to the United States when he was one year old, never became a United States citizen. Since he committed a crime of “moral turpitude” he was ordered to be deported. Joe filed an appeal in November of 2018. In July, Joe submitted a brief that detailed the reasons why he should be allowed to live in the United States. This was met with a 40-page rebuttal from the Attorney General stating why the original order to deport Joe should be upheld. Ouch!

On September 12, the Third Circuit Court denied Joe’s request to increase the amount of time he has to file a brief. Joe must now stick with the original deadline of October 15. Joe requested an appeal bond on September 11, asking that he be released from ICE custody and allowed to go home until the court makes a final decision on his deportation.

While Joe’s four daughters desperately want him home, Teresa may not be feeling the same way. Teresa has been spotted holding hands with Blake Schreck, a man who is in his twenties. Teresa insists they are just friends. Ummm…whatever you say, Teresa. Juicy Joe’s wife also dropped a bombshell during the RHONJ reunion, publicly stating that if Joe is deported, they will split up.

According to RadarOnline, Teresa was snubbed by Joe’s brother, mother, and the rest of his family at his September 11 immigration hearing. What a surprise! Why wasn’t her friend Blake there to hold her hand?

But while of this legal wrangling has been going on, Joe has kept his eyes on the prize. A source told Page Six that, “He’s a trained martial artist. He wants to compete and he wants to compete now, in not martial arts, but mixed martial arts.” I am not an expert on MMA, but it sounds…painful.

Page Six reported that Joe slimmed down from 215 pounds to 165 pounds since being in prison. The source also claimed, “According to him, he’s been doing a lot of the exercises and a lot of the routines that he learned when he got his black belt. He’s been eating right, exercising, staying in shape, getting his body right and he feels like, as far as his condition, he feels stronger than he did when he was in his 20s.”

Apparently, Joe has been considering a career in mixed martial arts fighting for a long time. “This is one of the things that he is adamant about and he has been speaking about it for quite some time. He didn’t just cook this up last night. It’s one of the reasons why he’s worked so hard to stay in shape and get in shape and [whatnot],” the source added.  The Giudice family attorney, James Leonard, declined to comment.

Of course, Teresa also worked on getting in shape. Last season, she competed in a bikini fitness competition last season on RHONJ. Will anyone ever forget her strutting her stuff in a barely-there bikini and orange spray tan? Joe was originally opposed to his wife competing, but she went for it anyway.

I am not sure if Joe is planning on competing in MMA here, or in Italy if he is deported. I am sure that if he is deported, his daughters will miss him terribly. As far as Teresa? Not so much. She appears to be loving her independent lifestyle and seems over her marriage.
