The Real Housewives of Potomac is inching closer to the finale, and I never want it to end. A lot of the Real Housewives shows have fallen flat this year, but these women are having a breakout season. More specifically, Candiace Dillard has become a breakout star this season. You don’t have to like her, but you can’t deny the impact she’s had in her sophomore season.
Katie Rost’s mental health was called into question on last week’s episode. I can’t believe Ashley Darby went there. SUCH a low blow. Going into the latest Real Housewives of Potomac episode, I wondered if Robyn Dixon would actually confront Gizelle Bryant. There are a lot of issues bubbling beneath the surface begging to boil over.
We immediately pick up with Katie defending herself after Ashley said she wasn’t mentally strong enough for the group (i.e. to be on Real Housewives of Potomac). The other women assure her they want her around, and she seems better.
Gizelle asks Ashley to back off for now and table the discussion. The group heads back inside and breaks down the drama that just took place.
Clearly, Katie is going through some things, so let’s cut her a little slack here. Ashley, of all people, knows what it’s like going through a tough time.

Katie calls her boyfriend and Ashley calls her mom to talk about what went down the previous night. Ashley’s mom tells her to be there for Katie right now. Let’s not kick the poor girl while she’s down.
Ashley says that she doesn’t want negativity in her life right now on her fertility journey. I guess we are back to her trying to conceive a child. I’m just waiting for Candiace to chime in.
The group meets for breakfast, and Gizelle is messy already. She wants to talk about the drama the day before, which is so on brand for her.
Gizelle talks about Karen Huger’s business now and says that she probably doesn’t own the fragrance. She believes she is defensive about it all as well. A lot of people have partners and investors, so don’t knock her for her success.
You can tell that Robyn isn’t fully feeling Gizelle right now either. Hold her accountable! Ashley tries to say good morning to Katie, but she gets ignored. What were you expecting, Ashley?
I’m so jealous that they’re all going to hang out with the stingrays! I feel Ashley though because I stopped my zoology dreams because of Steve Irwin’s death.
The stingray city looks so cool! JEALOUS. The best part of this fun in the water is Candiace and Ashley actually getting along.

Katie is avoiding the group, so Ashley goes to check on her. She feels bad for her so she wants to help. She apologizes to Katie for attacking her and not showing compassion. Katie thanks her for saying that and says the issue is squashed.
That’s good that Ashley could be the bigger person for once. She never really does that, so there’s a first time for everything.
Karen knows that she has a lot of doubters about her product, so she’s ready to shut them down. Robyn is surprised that the fragrance is actually complete, which is how I feel about her house. I guess we are all surprised this season, huh?
It’s lunch time, so drama is right around the corner. These ladies never have a meal without a ton of drama, so something will go down.
Gizelle makes an observation about Ashley and Candiace playing nice together. Candiace apologizes for hurting her feelings about what she said about Michael Darby. She wants Ashley to apologize too, but it turns into a full fight.
Robyn points out that Gizelle made this happen which is her being messy as usual. Gizelle is THE WORST. Ashley says sorry for saying shady remarks, so hopefully they can move forward.
Gizelle is so sneaky though. She puts something out there and then tries to play hands off. How Lisa Vanderpump of her.
You can really see the buildup of Robyn’s frustration with Gizelle. She’s going to explode at some point, and it’s going to be so bad. It’s a slew of shady behavior, and she’s going to call her on it soon I’m sure.
Karen checks on Katie and says the things Ashley said to her was inhumane. She tells Katie she’s always here for her. Is she being genuine here? It comes across more like being strategic against Ashley instead. None of them really act that genuine in this group.
We head over to Potomac while Monique Samuels and Chris Samuels have dinner. It sucks that Monique isn’t on the Cayman Islands trip.

Chris loves the pregnancy curves she has right now. He’s loving the extra weight on her right now. Love the body positivity.
He can’t wait for the baby to come so they can start having sex again. Chris says he doesn’t want to have any more kids after their third because he misses being intimate. She hasn’t been interested at all this pregnancy, so their sex life is non existent. Almost there! The home stretch is here.
Katie tells Robyn she won’t be going out with the group tonight. She says says she’s sick, but she is probably just avoiding the drama.
Katie brings up Robyn’s issue with Gizelle, and of course messy Ashley encourages a confrontation. Gizelle’s behavior is never appropriate, so she deserves being called out. She causes most of the group’s problems and always gets away with it.
They ask Katie if she might be pregnant based on her symptoms, but she has no idea. I don’t think she could handle that right now.
It’s dinner time, and if Robyn confronts Gizelle, it will be dinner and a show. Karen and Gizelle are in a better place, and Karen says their friendship shouldn’t be thrown away. This creates an opening for Robyn to bring up the open house drama.
HERE WE GO! Robyn actually has a backbone! Candiace expressed shock that Robyn followed through. She didn’t think they would ever confront each other ever. You can tell everyone at the table is LOVING Robyn confronting Gizelle.
Surprisingly, Gizelle says she is sorry and acknowledges that she is wrong. The topic turns to the possibility of Robyn and Juan Dixon getting married again. Robyn wants it to happen. She doesn’t know when it would happen, but it’s a goal for their relationship.

They talk about Chris Bassett’s cookbook, and Ashley chimes in about the project. She says business and marriage are different, and tells Candiace to put her name on it. Karen says Ashley’s advice is not warranted and she should not teach someone to be a gold digger.
Gizelle suggests a one on one breakfast between Ashley & Candiace, and they’re both open. Lots of open communication and progress at the table tonight!
Karen and Candiace visit Katie after dinner, and she says she’s feeling better. Katie says she will see them tomorrow. We shall see.
Ashley and Candiace meet for yoga and stretching which Ashley feels will be good for them. They’re always at each other’s throats, so we welcome this.
Candiace says she must love Ashley a bit to be up that early doing yoga. Watching her try yoga was hilarious because she was not about it at all. Ashley says to Candiace that they’re not handling their issues constructively, and Candiace agrees.
Candiace was hurt when Ashley said she only wanted to be surface level friends with her. It was hurtful to her, and she feels like she wasted times. Ashley apologizes, and we have yet enough breakthrough on this vacation.
Oh my goodness. Where in the world is Katie Rost? She is missing. This cannot be good. Something doesn’t feel right about this. Crazy development! I wonder what triggered her this time.
