A funny thing happened on the way to the altar. Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney were hitched in 2016. Their journey towards marriage was bumpy along the way, but the couple eventually worked through relationship issues. The wedding and reception were heavily featured on several episodes of Vanderpump Rules. In a magical wilderness setting, their true love was pledged as Lisa Vanderpump officiated the ceremony. Since that enchanting day, Tom and Katie have enjoyed the benefits of holy matrimony. Or have they?
Apparently the Bubbas forgot about a crucial part of getting married. The marriage license. Whoopsie! Lance Bass recently followed orders outed the fact that Tom and Katie might not legally be Mr. and Mrs. Schwartzy. Now scandal is afoot as rumors emerge the happy couple is not officially married. Never fear, Katie and Tom have a solution! Come now, did you really think Brittany Cartwright would have all the matrimonial glory next season?
Remember when Fonzie jumped over a shark tank on Happy Days? Anyway, it appears Lance was right on the money when he blabbed about Tom and Katie’s clerical mishap. They should have put the marriage license in a bottle and labeled it “vodka”. Maybe it would have gotten someone’s attention.
According to E! News, Tom and Katie are doing it again. Vegas style, baby. “They’ve just obtained a marriage license in—where else?—Las Vegas!”
Social media has also been a dead giveaway, “From photos shared to Tom and Katie’s Instagram accounts, the longtime couple is indeed vacationing in Sin City, while newlyweds Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright as well as Randall Emmett have also recently touched down in Vegas.” Rand is everywhere these days! But I wonder if Brittany feels some type of way about Katie stealing her wedding thunder.

According to reports, Tom and Katie’s actual wedding plans remain a mystery. Obviously obtaining the license is a giveaway glimpse of what we have to look forward to next season. I guess Tom and Katie should thank Lance for the storyline? While Lance was officiating Jax and Brittany’s storybook June wedding, rumors surfaced that Tom and Katie didn’t complete their marriage paperwork. Some suspected this was Tom’s subtle cry for help, but apparently, it was an accident.
Lance explained, “Lot of times people forget that I’ve been in entertainment news for the last 15 years. So, you know, when there’s pieces of nuggets out there, I’m going to talk about it. I didn’t know it was a secret.” Bye, bye, bye, Lance.

Is this going to be filmed for the show, you might ask? OF COURSE, it is. A source shared to People, “It’s all being filmed for next season of Vanderpump Rules, it’s a huge chunk of Tom and Katie’s storyline.” The source goes on to say, “They never had their marriage paperwork properly filled out, so they figured a trip to Las Vegas with their friends would be a great way to fix that.” Has the show had a season without a trip to Vegas? I hope Lala Kent packed her baby bottles.
So it looks like viewers will get TWO weddings out of Pump Rules. I feel bad for Brittany though. I’m sure she was hoping with all of the opulence and pageantry of her Kentucky princess ceremony, the marriage storyline would be taken. Thanks a lot, Katie! I guess Brittany can’t have beer cheese AND a wedding.
