The new season of Real Housewives of Atlanta is already stirring up the drama. We know fan favorite Kenya Moore has possibly returned in all of her glory. We know Porsha Williams’ recent break-up with Dennis McKinley will play out. And word on the street was NeNe Leakes, everyone’s favorite ray of sunshine, was being “shut out” of filming. Meaning, she pissed everyone off so much last year, no one will hang out with her.
Amid speculation that NeNe might not return to the show, there were rumors she received a very hefty increase in salary. When production began on Season 12, NeNe was like Dennis’ loyalty, nowhere to be found. But fear not, NeNe made sure to squash those silly rumors when she let everyone know she wasn’t gone, just in the midst of intense contract negotiations. Many viewers hoped this was a sign that NeNe was ultimately let go after her cantankerous attitude did her no favors last year. Well, the mystery has been solved. If you were worried NeNe was going to quietly ride off into the sunset, then worry no more. She’s back.
This seems like it was a long time coming. Everyone else has been busy filming the new season of RHOA except Shamari DeVoe the one person who claims it’s all about her. NeNe has finally signed on the dotted line and shared the info with her social media followers. Funny thing, after she posted the signed contract, she deleted it. But why though?
Thankfully, nothing is ever truly deleted on the internet and an account shared a screenshot on Instagram. In true NeNe fashion, she humbly captioned the now-removed post, “Season 12 SIGNED! Nay Nay will see you in NYC Sunday. Let’s go”. Rest assured, NeNe would not want anyone to think she was making peasant money! Good thing for us she included the hashtags, “#RHOA #HBIC #OG #shegotit bag secured”. #drama #attention #wegetit

How gracious of her to remind us that not only is she an #OG, she is also the “Head Bitch In Charge”, or at least head bitch. And I’m certainly glad her bag is secured! Now viewers and fans no longer have to worry about her financial status…
So what do we have to look forward to now that we know NeNe won’t go away has returned? Can NeNe somehow make Eva Marcille’s pregnancy about her? Will NeNe continue her wrath against Porsha? Will Kandi Burruss‘ eyeballs actually roll out of her head this year? And what will happen when NeNe finally comes face to face with Kenya?

Maybe NeNe will adopt a more pleasant attitude after her previous tumultuous season. Perhaps she will smile and spread joy to her family and cast members. For all one knows, she is a changed woman and won’t be so quick to attack going forward. Or maybe NeNe will remain the level 10 mess she was last year. Hope the camera crew has taken some self-defense courses, they might need it.
