Buckle your seatbelts, everyone! Season 14 of Real Housewives of Orange County debuts later this summe…zzzzzzzzzzzz… Okay, just kidding, I’m awake. Can you believe we’ve been watching these women for fourteen years? Once upon a time the original Real Housewives series actually delivered. RHOC covered the women’s lowest of lows: i.e., death, divorce dramas, drinks in the face, a fake cancer scam. It’s also given us some of the most unintentionally funny moments on TV. Think Gretchen Rossi’s singing marriage proposal. The show needs more completely staged organic, real life moments like that. Then there’s Jesus Jugs and the women’s sky tops. We will never unsee those!
RHOC paved the way for women-centered reality shows. Each season post-Brooks Ayers, however, has been awful. Not because he’s gone though. The stories have been stale, overdone, and slow. The reunion of the tres amigas last season still wasn’t enough. For the first time, there were rumors that Bravo was demoted Vicki Gunvalson, OG of the OC, to shake things up. Rumors aside, for the show to continue, we need a revival. Tamra Judge agrees.
According to an article from Entertainment Tonight, Tamra discussed the upcoming season of RHOC during an appearance on Heather Dubrow’s podcast, Heather Dubrow’s World. Tamra claimed that there are “so many real-life things were going on with everybody,” and that “it wasn’t a season where we were lacking content. Everybody had something going on in their life.”
Tamra went deeper, sharing that the drama this season isn’t based on the women “sitting around the table going, ‘But you didn’t invite me to that party!'” Instead, the drama is, “real-life stuff, and that’s when things are good.”

Tamra must be used to people questioning her and RHOC, because she reiterated to Entertainment Tonight, “It’s gonna be good.” She even admitted, “We needed it, though! I feel like we came off a couple of seasons that were a little weak, and I feel like it’s good.” That’s definitely an understatement.
According to Tamra, the reason this season is so good is that “Gina [Kirschenheiter] and Emily [Simpson], which were newbies last year, really stepped up their game.” Tamra clarified to ET that, “obviously, Gina had a lot going on in her life.” In case you’ve been avoiding RHOC news, Gina got a DUI right as filming for season 14 started.

Supposedly Gina is also reconciling with Matt Kirschenheiter. Matt was a no-show in Gina’s life during filming for Season 13. He even lived in an apartment in Los Angeles, hours away from Gina and their kids.
“I think everybody is gonna be shocked,” Tamra said. “I think Gina really was a rock star this season.” Let’s wait and see. Unpopular stance – I am a forever fan of RHOC. As a loyalist, I’m even willing to go down with the ship. But please, let Tammy Sue be telling the truth here!
