Real Housewives of New York star Tinsley Mortimer has been very vocal about her desire to become a mother. Who could ever forget Tinsley trying on wedding dresses with her mother Dale Mercer and FaceTiming her frozen eggs?
Tinsley hoped that she would get the family of her dreams… until she and Scott Kluth broke up. Now, her costars and her mom are putting the pressure on her to make decisions if she wants to have a biological child.
This season, Dale is practically a Housewife since she has appeared in so many episodes. She even has her own confessional interviews. So, of course, she appeared on the Real Housewives of New York After Show. And, yes they discussed the possibility of Tinsley having a child.
Dale began, “I will say this, I have offered-” Then Tinsley interjected with “to be the father.”
“No,” Dale responded. However, Tinsley countered, “Yes, you technically have.”
Then, Dale clarified, “I sort of have. I also offered to pay for everything. [You] can pick from the sperm bank. ‘I want this, this, this.’ And to have somebody carry it even because she is not having it.”
Yes, she really went there. Dale is ready to take passive aggressive digs toward a new generation of Mercers.

Tinsley added, “You are also saying that I have you.”
Dale said, “Well, I can help take care of it.” More than anything I want this to happen. For TV’s sake alone. Just imagine the two of them at a baby shower or making parenting decisions down the road. Reality TV gold!
Tinsley told her mom, “That’s not what I envision.”
Dale responded, “It’s not what I envision, but the reason I’m saying that is your time clock. I feel like we can start the whole process and then the husband can come in.”
Tinsley insisted, “I still have a shot. I want to try it all right now.” Dale told Tinsley that she has “another couple of months” to try. Harsh? Or realistic?

Tinsley, told Dale, “Mom, stop. It’s not funny. I want the father there.” Dale remarked, “I understand that, but you might get to the point where you don’t have the choice.”
Tinsley said, “Then maybe I adopt. Or maybe I just have chihuahuas my whole life. I don’t know.” We shall see, but I think a lot of people would love to see Tinsley as a mother.
However, Dorinda Medley has her doubts about this happening in the near future. During another segment of the After Show, Dorinda commented, “It is a lot of work. It is a huge commitment and it is a tremendous sacrifice. That’s the reality behind children. I don’t know if she’d be ready for that.” Wow. That’s a very heavy statement.

I wish they recorded Tinsley and Dale’s reaction to that comment. Can there be an After Show for the After Show? Or maybe this came up during the reunion taping.
