This season of Vanderpump Rules showed the complete undoing of James Kennedy and Lala Kent’s friendship. The former best friends who stood up against the mean girls club of Katie Maloney, Kristen Doute, and Stassi Schroeder, had finally fallen apart. Lala had flipped sides and joined the witches of WeHo, leaving her friendship with James behind her.
This move also impacted Lala’s relationships with James’ girlfriend Raquel Leviss, and SUR’s queen of brunch, Billie Lee. Lala turned on all of them. She viciously attacked Raquel, James and Billie during a brunch at SUR. And she went after Billie at Scheana Marie’s housewarming party. One would think that any sort of friendship with Lala would be beyond repair. Surprisingly, that is not the case.
Time must have healed all wounds because the trio is now rebuilding its relationships with the former friend. In an interview with TooFab, James, Raquel, and Billie dished on how they feel about Lala now.
The last time viewers saw James and Lala hang out was at TomTom. And James knew that Lisa Vanderpump had pushed Lala into reaching out to him, so the effort to reconnect didn’t seem genuine. When Lala tried to get James to open up to her, he blew her off and said he would talk to his therapist instead.
Now things are looking up. James said, “Lala’s reached out…We’re chatting, we’re texting and hopefully gonna meet up for lunch maybe this coming week and catch up a little bit in person. But yeah, we’re definitely texting. If I saw her today, I’d say hi.” I’m rooting for these two to get their friendship back!

Raquel added, “It’s nice to see someone reflect on their actions and realize that everything that they said might not have been correct.” I’d hope this means that Lala apologized for calling Raquel a “Bambi-eyed bitch.” But I have a feeling it was more along the lines of saying she’s sorry for missing the puppy shower.
Last we saw Billie and Lala at the reunion, Billie had called Lala a “high-class hooker.” And Lala didn’t regret any of her finger-wagging or aggressive behavior. Personally, I would have gone with “middle-class hooker.” Well, these two are in a much better place now.
Billie said, “Lala and I are talking, we’re texting…I have a deep love for her. It’s hard for us because we’re very similar because we like to attack, but she’s been through a lot, and I get it.” This sounds like Billie is excusing Lala’s behavior. Yes, Billie got upset about the girls night in debacle, but I never saw her attack anyone like Lala did.

She continued, “And you know, they only show some of the negative parts of her, too. It’s how reality television is.” Um, it seemed all negative all the time with Lala this season, but maybe that’s just me.
Billie added, “But she’s been there for me because I had some really dark times…So I have a lot of love for her, and I think that we have a great relationship in the future.” At least until next season, that is.
