Robyn Dixon Thinks Karen Huger Sends Many Conflicting Messages

On the season premiere of Real Housewives of Potomac, Gizelle Bryant made a significant attempt to reconcile with Karen Huger. She brought freshly baked homemade cookies right to Karen’s front door. And considering how remote Karen’s front door is in relation to the rest of the cast, the most hopeful among us thought it would be enough of a gesture to get Gizelle back into Karen’s good graces.

A cautiously optimistic Gizelle called Robyn Dixon on the way over to give her the scoop. These two have been very fixated on leading Karen to the waters of self-awareness. It’s been a fruitless endeavor at this point but it has brought Robyn and Gizelle closer. So who better to ask about Karen and Gizelle’s encounter than Robyn.

Since Robyn and Gizelle usually have a lot to say about how Karen SHOULD have acted, let’s start with that. Here’s what Robyn wrote in her blog, “What better way is there to say, ‘I’m thinking about you and I care about you’ than to hand deliver homemade baked goods? If someone made that type of thoughtful and kind gesture to me, I would be touched and more than happy to accept their gift and visit.”

Robyn supported her friend and encouraged her to follow through with the peace offering. She wrote, “So of course, I thought it was a good idea for Gizelle to visit Karen with cookies. Gizelle’s effort shows that she really heard Karen when she asked her to be a better friend.”

Expectations of Karen never match up with reality. Instead, Karen took the cookies and left Gizelle standing outside. It really may be easier for everyone involved to accept her inconsistencies.

“After seeing Karen’s response to Gizelle, I am truly confused,” Robyn wrote, “Karen sends out so many conflicting messages-‘be my friend, don’t be my friend; come to my house, don’t come to my house; kiss up to me, don’t kiss up to me.’ Karen needs to make up her mind!”
