Kyle Richards is all about honesty this season on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Even her tagline suggests “the truth always rises to the top”. Be careful what you wish for, honey! Kyle’s husband, Mauricio Umansky now joins fellow RHOBH husbands PK Kemsley, and Tom Girardi in the Litigation Club! How cozy!
Does Beverly Hills have something in the water that forces men to do (allegedly) shady business? Has Lisa Vanderpump used her witchy-British, manipulation skills in an effort to curse those who have turned against her? What does Mauricio’s giant lawsuit mean for Kyle’s burgeoning Rolex collection?
Golly, I hope Mauricio has a good attorney. Tom, are you available? Oops, maybe not. Mauricio owns the luxury real estate company, The Agency. You know this because The Agency swag is basically another RHOBH castmember. Mauricio and his business are being sued for fraud by Sweetwater Malibu LLC, per federal court documents obtained by Page Six. Sweetwater Malibu owned a mansion that was sold by Mauricio and The Agency.

Then, the government seized the Malibu-based estate from Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, who struck a deal with the Department of Justice in 2014 to have the sale benefit the people of Equatorial Guinea.
Worth noting, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue is the vice-president of Equatorial Guinea, a country in Central Africa. Rut-roh, Shaggy. Mauricio may want to change his name and move careers. I hear being an accountability coach is popular these days.
In 2015, Mo and The Agency were hired to sell the massive property. Sweetwater Malibu alleged that Mo misled them into selling the mansion to manipulate his 6% commission when a man named Mauricio Oberfeld bought the house for $32.5 million.
The documents claim, “Defendants violated virtually every one of these duties, by engaging in blatant acts of self-dealing, earning secret profits, and both failing to disclose and outright misrepresenting material facts,” they state, “Among other things, they advised Sweetwater to accept an offer from another client and partner Mauricio Oberfeld, without disclosing that they knew that a far higher price could have been obtained.

Oberfeld would need to obtain financing or investors in order to close the purchase, despite purporting to offer an ‘all cash’ deal without the need for financing. Defendants were secretly working for Oberfeld to find him buyers and investors to complete the purchase. Defendants had been offered secret compensation from buyers they recommended and favored offers from their other existing clients.” Scandal alert!
The papers also affirm the RHOBH husband teamed up with the client, Mauricio Oberfeld, to flip and then resell the property to the tune of $69.9 million a year later. Now Sweetwater Malibu is requesting the courts to rule in their favor for damages. This happens to be the same listing Mo was previously sued for in October. However, that case was dismissed. Gosh, this house can’t quit you, am I right Mo? Maybe you need a quick trip to Vegas with PK to get your mind off of things. Oh, wait.
Hmmm, this is all very interesting. I don’t know about you but I’m hearing, “you stole my g*oddamned house!” over and over in my head. Maybe Kim Richards was not drunkenly lashing out at her sister after all. Kyle better start being nice to older sis Kathy Hilton again, just in case Mauricio is headed to the unemployment line. What in the fresh hell is wrong with these men who cannot keep their hands clean (ALLEGEDLY) during business transactions? I’m sure Kyle will start the “He didn’t do anything wrong, it’s Lisa’s fault!” campaign in 5, 4, 3, 2…
TELL US- DO YOU THINK MAURICIO IS ABOUT TO GO DOWN? WILL THE AGENCY SUFFER AS A RESULT OF THIS LAWSUIT?
