Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz have a relationship as solid as Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd. As soon as the Tom’s met, they became instant BFFs. They have been inseparable ever since. I’m pretty sure they’re the only duo on Vanderpump Rules, besides Lisa and Ken, to stay together for all seven seasons.
Well, this power couple is about to get tested. Tom 2’s roommate wife, Katie Maloney, recently got James Kennedy fired from SUR because he fat-shamed her. This did not sit well with some of the cast, namely Billie Lee. She has been very vocal about the matter. In next week’s episode, Tom 1 steps up to defend James and calls Katie a bully for her actions. Tom 2 is not going to be happy!
In an interview with US Weekly, Tom 1 discussed how he felt after yelling at Katie, and if he and Tom 2 are on the outs. Tom said, “The next day I woke up I was pretty depressed about that, obviously I love Katie.” Sounds more like damage control to me.
Tom continued, “Some people say the opposite of love is hate, that’s not true. I feel like it’s indifference and we all really care about each other and it emotionally charges things.” Obviously, Tom does not hate Katie. Maybe he was doling out some tough love?
Of course, Katie did not sit idly by in the back alley of SUR while Tom called her a bully for getting James fired. She gave it right back. Katie yelled about James, “I didn’t get him fired, he got himself fired!”

Tom then mocked her and said, “I can say whatever the f*ck I want, to anybody. But if somebody calls me fat, I’m getting their ass fired.” Tom 1 has a point. How many times have we seen Katie bully Scheana Marie and Lala Kent on the show?
When asked if this incident caused a problem between him and Tom 2, Tom 1 said, “Well, you’ll just have to wait and see.” If Tom and Tom ever broke up, I’d rank it right up there with the demise of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
Tom does not discuss how the argument started. In the preview for next week’s episode, Katie is not happy with him for inviting James and Raquel Leviss on the cast trip to Mexico. This is probably what triggers Tom to yell at Katie. Regardless, something tells me that at the end of all this, Tom 1 and Tom 2 will make it out just fine.
