Kristen Doute and James Kennedy have a long and complicated relationship that started back in Season 3 of Vanderpump Rules. To an epic fight at Scheana Marie‘s wedding to hooking up on the hood of James’ BMW to Kristen vowing to take James down every single season…their relationship, or lack thereof, has become a consistent storyline for fans each season.
Even though both Kristen and James have moved on from their romance with their respective partners, I don’t think they’ve ever truly moved on from each other. Some people might be wondering why Kristen’s intense obsession with James has continued every season. It’s the story line that keeps on giving. After all, who doesn’t love a little “Crazy Kristen?”
Speaking of crazy, Kristen made some interesting comments on the Watch What Happens Live After Show. A caller asked if she felt bad about James financially supporting his mom and all his other family issues.
Kristen candidly shared, “Absolutely not. Actually, I thought you were going to say something else. I’ll say that I felt bad for him when I see what a terrorist his mother is but we all support our families. So, I don’t feel bad for him.” Ouch! If James thought that Kristen had any lingering compassion for him or his situation, he was so wrong.

S.E. Cupp, the other guest, was visibly uncomfortable and even Andy Cohen (who I didn’t know could be shocked) raised his eyebrows at that comment. Ultimately though, this is Kristen. She leads a crusade against James pretty much every season. Is the fact that she doesn’t have any empathy for him really that surprising?
Kristen has challenged Lisa Vanderpump, brought Miami Girl to SUR just to get back at Tom Sandoval, and has been awful to travel with on nearly every trip this cast takes so this pretty much on brand for Kristen. In fact, it is very on brand for Kristen.
