Do you sweat the small stuff? What about a 15 MILLION DOLLAR lawsuit? That might make you and I relocate to Siberia, but not Erika Jayne. Thomas Girardi, the husband of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, is currently on the hook for unpaid loans.
In January, Tom caught a case filed by the lender, Law Finance Group. The dispute alleged Tom used a $15 million dollar loan to fund his lavish lifestyle instead of supporting his law firm, Girardi Keese. What does this mean for our very XXPEN$IVE star? According to Erika, it’s business as usual.
Finally speaking on Tom’ case, Erika told Us Weekly, “Listen, we’re in the lawsuit business, baby. We sue and get sued.” In other words, she isn’t bothered. The legal papers state the loan has gone unpaid since 2015. They also claim Thomas would use his home, along with legal fees and proceeds from his firm, for collateral. The documents maintain Thomas has refused to complete a monthly payment plan, with a $5 million dollar payment by January 1, 2019.
“So what? So what? It’s part of the job,” Erika shared. But what about Erika’s “job”? Will the Pasadena Princess have to cut down on her expenses? Will her glam squad have to start taking the bus? THE HORROR!
Erika has never been shy about her affinity for luxury. She travels the world with multiple trunks of fashion moments and her paid friends beauty team in tow. According to the singer, the monthly expense to preserve her looks is approximately $40,000. We know she is no stranger to ice, that’s diamonds to you and me. And she owns artwork from artists she is not familiar with. Bless her heart.
All kidding aside, it makes one wonder why such a prestigious attorney has failed to repay the loan or even make payments that were previously agreed upon. Thomas has been in the business since the 1970s, I cannot imagine he doesn’t have some kind of plan in place.
Still, it must be nice to fly so effortlessly above such financial woes. I certainly appreciate her cavalier attitude and hope husband Tom was not using the $15 million to Bedazzle some highly questionable bodysuits. If nothing else, Erika can always use the lawsuit as common ground with her co-stars. There is a bright side after all! I’m sure Erika and Dorit Kemsley are sitting around a table, blaming Lisa Vanderpump sipping Dom Perignon while they commiserate the financial cases against their husbands. As for Erika, until Thomas‘ legal issues are satisfied – she will remain unfazed, baby.
