This season on Real Housewives of Dallas, both LeeAnne Locken and Stephanie Hollman revealed that they have attempted suicide. Additionally, Dallas Housewife D’Andra Simmons shared that her father took his own life.
With all of this in mind, it was pretty shocking when LeeAnne told D’Andra, “Why don’t you jump in a f*cking lake and drown?!” She said this during the first RHOD reunion episode. Why, LeeAnne? She’s definitely made progress in some areas, but comments like this detract from all of her strides. Why would she say this? She’s just living out that age-old adage: taking one step forward and two steps back.
D’Andra called out her former bestie once the episode aired. She tweeted, “I’m disgusted that someone who says she advocates for suicide prevention would encourage someone to kill themself #RHOD.”
D’Andra also tweeted, “Not to mention my father committed suicide!!” In that same tweet, she tried to get the hashtag #RecklessLeeAnne trending.
As of this moment, it does not appear that LeeAnne has addressed the comment she made during the RHOD reunion. However, there were plenty of Twitter users who came to LeeAnne’s defense. One person told D’Andra, “You’re reaching…” Another person responded with an Ariana Grande reference, “Eh, you’re reaching D! Thank you, next!” A Twitter user told D’Andra, “Oh stop it!”

Still, there were fans on D’Andra’s side as well. One fan tweeted, “She will lie and say she didnt say that too.” Then, someone declared, “She’s a hypocrite. There’s no way around it.”
A viewer tweeted, “I can’t believe the people on here saying that your reaching! Statements like what @LeeAnneLocken. Some teens committed suicide over others repeatedly saying ” go die” etc. This subject can’t be talked about so flippantly, it is serious, especially with younger ones!
