Chandler Brooks is fired on Below Deck

Below Deck Crew Reacts To Chandler’s Firing; Kate Chastain Claims She Told Captain Lee Rosbach To Fire Chandler Brooks

During the last episode of Below Deck,  Chandler Brooks’ made an anti-climatic exit off My Seanna. This was the moment everyone was waiting for. Of course, the cast has a lot to say about it.

During an episode of the Below Deck After ShowKate Chastain and Josiah Carter hilariously memorialized Chandler in the style of “My Favorite Things.” Just in time for the holiday season!

Rhylee Gerber suppressed a smile. She claimed that she didn’t anticipate the news.  Really? It seemed pretty obvious to the viewers, but I guess it’s different as an outsider looking in.

Even so, Ashton Pienaar claimed to be surprised as well. The deckhand said, “I made it quite vocal that I thought if anybody from the deck crew was to leave, I would’ve liked it to be Rhylee.” Wait, really? Did that have anything to do with their failed hookup?

Ashton continued, “The fact that she was gloating and was almost happy about it, that Chandler left, that really pissed me off.” Then, let’s hope Ashton did not look on Twitter. Pretty much ever viewer reveled in Chandler’s firing.

Chief Stew Kate claimed that she is the one who told Captain Lee to fire Chandler. Is she hyperbolizing her involvement? According to the episode, Kate did say “Something needs to happen.” Even so, that’s not “making Captain Lee fire Chandler.”

Kate reflected on the firing. She recalled, “I had to sit there and act like I don’t know what’s happening.  I’m just here watching when I was the one who told Captain Lee the night before to do it.”

If Captain Lee really took Kate’s advice to heart, he didn’t mention it during the Below Deck After Show. There was no aha! moment.  He credited his own intuition. The Captain explained, “It’s kind of a feeling you get that you just know things aren’t getting better.”

Then there’s the undeniable truth that Chandler is just not a good leader.  Captain Lee remarked, “Chandler felt like he wasn’t getting enough respect.  Which he demanded.  It’s like paying [a] ransom.  You want my respect, earn it.  You earn respect by doing the right thing, you earn it by leading, you earn it by using your brains more than using your mouth.”

Kate and Josiah held a mock memoriam for Chandler. They listed the things Chandler was best known. They included lunch breaks, naps, eye masks, lack of an engaging personality, adhering to a strict bedtime schedule, and of course, ice cream.

How about that face cloth he wore on deck to work?

TELL US- WHAT DO YOU THINK OF CAPTAIN LEE’S EXPLANATION?  DO YOU THINK KATE CHASTAIN WAS INVOLVED IN THE FIRING? WILL BELOW DECK BE INTERESTING TO WATCH WITHOUT CHANDLER BROOKS?
