The last time Vanderpump Rules viewers saw Jax Taylor on screen, he was crying uncontrollably. He discussed the loss of his father during the Season 6 reunion and got very emotional. He could barely catch his breath and insisted that his father’s passing has changed him for good.
There have been plenty of Jax reincarnations throughout the years. Plus if you think about it Jax Taylor is really just a reincarnation of Jason Cauchi, Jax’s given name. Nevertheless, Jax usually reverts to his “old ways.” Personally, I’m a Jax apologist who believes he is the foundation of this show, even with the 92525252 person ensemble cast. Yes, I know I have a problem. Nevertheless, even I acknowledge personal growth is always a good thing. This is especially true at this point in his life with a wedding on the horizon.
Jax shared a story on his Instagram about the People’s Choice Awards after party. No, it had nothing to do with Vanderpump Rules losing in the reality show category. It was actually about a conversation he had with an NBC executive.
Jax wrote, “We talked for 15 minutes mostly about the first four episodes of this coming up season, and she goes ‘Jax this has been the best I have seen you yet, I watched the first few episodes and I was shocked at one point on the edge of my seat.” Ugh oh. What did he do this time?

It’s actually a good thing. Jax revealed, “The best part as I was leaving the conversation and the party she pulled me aside quickly and said ‘Jax, your father would be proud of you.'” Aaaww.
Jax confessed, “I had no words, the head of NBC gave me by far the best comment/moment of the evening. Just those 2.5 seconds was better than any award I could have received from anyone.” Is there really a new Jax Taylor? It sure sounds like it.
