Thomas Ravenel Will Go To Trial For Sexual Assault Case

Former Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel was arrested for second-degree assault and battery by his children’s former nanny back in September. Now a judge has decided that the case will go to trial.

Thomas did not have to appear at the November 5 hearing, but his attorney did. The nanny did appear in the courtroom though. The accuser’s identity has not been revealed to the public, but she has only been identified as “Nanny Dawn” in the media.

According to a report from Live 5 News, the nanny claimed that Thomas “got undressed and put the nanny’s hand on his private parts and then grabbed her private parts.”

The court records also state that the underwire from her bra cut her skin and that she had trouble breathing because her shirt wrapped around her neck.

Us Weekly obtained an affidavit has a very graphic description of her claims: “The defendant grabbed the victim’s hand and placed it on his penis before attempting to [remove] the victim’s clothing. While attempting to remove the victim’s clothing, the victim’s underwire bra cut into her skin and her shirt wrapped around her neck, which caused the victim to struggle to breathe.”

When the nanny “crouched down to the ground to try and prevent further assault,” Thomas reportedly “put his penis in her face.”

Since Thomas will not be a part of Southern Charm next season, it is likely that his legal issues will not be mentioned on the show for legal reasons. Then again cast member Kathryn Dennis is the mother of his two children and this situation is bound to have a profound effect on her and the kids.
