Congratulations are in order for Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Eva Marcille. She is now a mother of two.
Eva gave birth to her first son and first child with Michael Sterling on April 13. The Friend of the Housewives shared updates from the birth on social media with her fans.
On April 12, Eva shared a selfie on Instagram with the caption “So ready…. the calm before the storm.” On April 13, she shared some mid-labor selfies with the caption “Still at it. Come on Mikey.” That must mean that she named her son after her man Michael.
Michael confirmed this in a series of tweets. On April 3, he wrote, “1/3 At the hospital for the last 14 hours and up since about 4 am. We are still waiting for Michael T. Sterling II to come into a world that I am hopeful, we will continue to make better and improve for every single person. You can’t help but think and . . .” He followed that up with, “be introspective in a surreal moment like this; Thinking about the hopes and dreams that we all have for our children and the real sense of anxiety about doing the very best we can to make sure they can achieve and navigate in an unforgiving world. I also think about . . .” He concluded, “3/3 the heartbreak of a parent who lost their child to an avoidable mass shooting or a senseless act of violence or an incurable disease. We have so much work to do to keep improving this world. Just the thoughts of a first-time dad waiting for his newborn to arrive. . .”
Eventually Eva shared a photo of baby footprints with an “I’m a boy” sticker on a blanket. The sticker also revealed that the baby was born at 5:59 PM with a weight of 7 pounds 12 ounces and a height of 19 1/2 inches.
The baby had perfect timing. Now he can watch Part 2 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 2 reunion on Sunday night. Or maybe not…
