Julie Montagu Doesn’t Think Sharing A Tub With Friends Is Weird!

Julie Montagu from Ladies Of London

Quirkiest Lady in the Peerage Julie Montagu is dishing on why it’s no big deal to share bubbly – tub bubbles, that is – with friends. Similarly she doesn’t find it that odd that Marissa Hermer stalked Caroline Fleming to the ladies room to confront Cougar-gate is a big deal.

This week on Ladies of London, Julie hosted a shooting party to practice her Lady skills. Although Julie, of the headstands in ballgowns and JUB power balls, is the last person to consider herself a conventional Lady! Julie says, “yoga has taught me so much about being authentic to who you are and so some might think I’m being very risky by ‘bending the rules…'” Bending the rules, which presumably includes bending the friendship barriers? When in … delusional crazy land do as delusional crazies do!

Julie defends her nontraditional Lady stance, “Because, really…how boring would it be to try to be something or someone you’re not.” I agree with her there, but perhaps a little more tradition, and a little less erratic crying and loyalty shifting might be in order!

Still, Julie is happy to partake in some of the British traditions, like a shooting weekend. “Even though some of the girls were a bit weary about shooting, they totally participated by either taking part or watching on the side lines. And they looked great too! ” gushes Julie. “It really was a fun weekend for all.”

And much of that fun centered around various bathrooms, where some had more fun than others – bath buddies Julie and Marissa, VS. hopeful bathroom escapist Baroness Caroline

Explaining her bathtub bonding with MarissaJulie really doesn’t think it’s so weird. It’s just two friends, some bubbly, and a little gossip. Clothing optional! I think there’s a movie or two with that very same premise…

The bonding began on the battlefield where Julie and Marissa “stayed out much longer than the rest of the girls to continue with the shoot and it got colder and colder as the day went on.”

Both ladies were freezing when they returned and wanted a bath to warm up. Since there rooms were across the hall from each other and Marissa’s tub was “much bigger” than Julie’s, naturally they decided to share a “bubble Jacuzzi” together.

“But really, what’s the difference between women showering together in a gym or after a hot yoga class and taking a bath together?” wonders Julie in her blog. “In my view, not a whole lot – ours was just much more fun as not only did we have bubbles in our bath, but we had bubbles in our glasses too.”

A few weeks ago Juliet was positively frigid with Caroline Stanbury for trying to share her unicorn onesie with Juliet’s husband. Presumably no husbands got their knickers in a knot over Julie and Marissa’s sharing is caring moment.

Since their bathtub bonding drew them closer, Julie decided to share more than bubbles with Marissa when she revealed how upset Caroline F was over Marissa’s cougar comments during bowling. Julie wasn’t trying to stir up trouble, but rinse the drama down the drain!

“I knew when I told Marissa that she would definitely want to put this one to bed once and for all,” defends Julie. “Even though there had been a phone conversation between Marissa and Caroline, it clearly hadn’t been resolved. And honestly, I’d rather have two people kiss and make up even while at the dinner party than glare each other down at a dinner party!”

Or have a headstand showdown. Or any showdown involving an irascible Juliet

TELL US – DID JULIE MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION IN TELLING MARISSA THAT CAROLINE FLEMING WAS UPSET? WOULD YOU TAKE A “BUBBLE JACUZZI” WITH FRIENDS?
