Holly Madison Says Hugh Hefner Offered Her “Thigh Opener” Drugs; Why Holly No Longer Talks To Kendra Wilkinson

Holly Madison

With the release of her memoir, Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny, less than two weeks away, Holly Madison is sharing disturbing details about her life inside the Playboy mansion as Hugh Hefner‘s No. 1.

Holly‘s also dishing on former Girls Next Door co-star Kendra Wilkinson. Do you remember Kendra? She’s been on a few – or fifty – reality TV shows since she left the Playboy mansion.

In her book, Holly claimed Hugh offered her “thigh opener” drugs the first time he met her. Creepy, right? Yet, despite the warning signs, Holly stayed the night and moved into the mansion a few weeks later. A decision which led to years of verbal and emotional abuse.

US Weekly shared a few excerpts from Holly‘s book about Hugh.

Holly’s first interaction with Hugh: “‘Would you like a Quaalude?’ Hef asked, leaning toward me with a bunch of large horse pills in his hands, held together by a crumpled tissue.”

When she declined: “Hef did not miss a beat: ‘Okay, that’s good,’ he said, nonchalantly. ‘Usually, I don’t approve of drugs, but you know, in the ‘70s they used to call these pills thigh openers.’ I want to scream ‘PAUSE!’ and freeze-frame that moment of my life. I want to grab that young girl, shake her back into reality and scream, ‘What the hell are you thinking?’”

Hugh stirred the pot with the Girls: “I learned Hef was the manipulator and that he pitted us against one another. I realized I wasn’t treated well. I’m done being afraid of people. I don’t have any loyalty to Hef. I haven’t talked to him in four years. There is no reason to reach out now. Besides, it’s the truth.”

Hugh tried to buy Holly via his will: “It was there, in black and white. The will stated that $3,000,000 would be bestowed to Holly Madison at the time of his death (provided I still lived in the Mansion). At the time, it was more money than I’d ever know what to do with but I didn’t want it. I actually pitied him for stooping to that level. I couldn’t help but be offended. Did he really think he could buy me? I put the folder back on the bed just as I had found it and never breathed a word of it.”

E! News shared the reason why Holly no longer speaks to Kendra.

A harsh reality for Kendra: “At 19, Kendra was stuck with a 9 p.m. curfew, a 78-year-old boyfriend, and a stricter set of rules than she had ever had at home. And now, adding insult to injury, she was finally realizing that she wasn’t as special as Hef made her believe. She was just another blond girlfriend – and life at the mansion wasn’t all she imagined it to be.”

Kendra didn’t want anything to do with Holly: “Despite my attempts to befriend Kendra, she continued to push me away. Hungry from her own ‘team,’ Kendra desperately tried to make each new Playmate who arrived at the mansion her friend – and her friend alone”

Life after Girls Next Door: “Kendra had apparently given an interview to a tabloid explaining that she wasn’t friends with either of us [Holly and Bridget] as if she were somehow better than everyone else. Of course I wasn’t going to stoop to her level and address this only on social media, so I decided to text her how I truly felt: that she was a coward and that she tried to act like the ‘real’ girl on TV, but she’s the fakest person I’ve ever met – and that if she had a problem with me, she should have confronted me like an adult instead of just going silent.”

Kendra’s text back to Holly: “WHO ARE YOU???? I DON’T EVEN KNOW YOU! WE WERE NEVER FRIENDS. IT WAS ALL JUST WORK.”

Does Holly regret sending that text to Kendra? “After that, I deleted her number from my phone. Kendra and I have not spoken since – and I have to say, I don’t miss her.”

As a huge fan of Holly (not so much Kendra since Celebrity Wife Swap and Kendra On Top, so nothing here surprises me in the least) and Girls Next Door (but now I kind of feel guilty about it), I cannot wait to read Holly’s book.

Down the Rabbit Hole comes out Tuesday, June 23rd.
