Behind The Scenes Drama At Dancing With The Stars

JAMES MASLOW, PETA MURGATROYD

Last night the Dancing With the Stars mirror ball may have finally gone to Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his partner Meryl Davis, but did the right couple win? Not necessarily!  According to TMZ, some outraged fans say that Facebook votes for fan favorite James Maslow and his partner Peta Murgatroyd were counted for Meryl and Maks instead. Which lead to James being voted off the show on Monday night, even though he had much higher scores than Candace Cameron Bure.

Had James stayed would it really have changed the outcome of the winner? Probably not. Let us not forget that Meryl Davis is a professional ice dancer — she was amazing from the beginning. But if the votes were incorrectly counted it may have allowed James to take third place over Candace, still not sure it would have even gotten him into second place.

But a rep for ABC told TMZ "despite the automated Facebook response … the votes were all counted correctly. The rep blew off the apparent error as a 'caching anomaly' that only affected a small amount of users."

And that wasn't all the drama from the ballroom during finale week.

It is a pretty common for previous competitors to attend the Dancing With the Stars finale. Last night they kept flashing back to previous winner Emmitt Smith and his million dollar smile. But it was another former competitor who was causing a different scene with his strange behavior.

According to PEOPLE, season 16 contestant, Andy Dick, "arrived at the finale with a guest and seemed to be acting erratically, reeking of smoke and exhibiting eyebrow-raising behavior. He was running in and out of the ballroom every five minutes, saying, "I have to pee!" Within the hour, he had lunged at a production staffer's breast."

"One observer tells PEOPLE that four security guards stepped in quickly and they "told him he had to go, and he said, 'Why? Because I'm drunk?"

Andy Dick has had issues with drugs and alcohol for years. When he was on the show last year, he appeared sober and even dedicated a dance to his daughter, whom he claimed he had gotten close to since kicking his bad habits.

Hopefully Andy can find his way back on the wagon.
